Target's problem's not that they rolled the DEI policies back. The problem is that as a company they're phony. They hop on whatever issue is popular at the time and hop off as soon as the pendulum swings and that backlash hits. Which is cool I guess, they're a business, but they always gotta announce whatever it is loudly instead of just doing it. Whether it's a press release or they'll put out a pandering commercials focusing on it like this
Video - Black Beyond Measure when all companies were pandering post-George Floyd. They did the same thing a couple years ago with the pride stuff and as soon as white right wingers started boycotting, they pulled the shyt out the stores. They end up trying to be everything to all people but end up pissing everybody off because they hop off so quick so it's clear it was just a cash grab to begin with.
What's the end game with this boycott, tho? Do we want them to put the DEI policies back in place? If they do, is it geniune? Either way, with something like this, people's hearts in the right place, but it only hurts them in the long run if you never go back. Ever.
