Similar to how the NFL’s overtime offensive possession rule was changed after Josh Allen and the Bills didn’t get a chance to match the Chiefs’ touchdown in the playoffs a few years ago…

MLB needs to change the 3-batter rule for pitchers in the postseason. If a manager has to pull a reliever who clearly ain’t got it that night OR if a manager just wants to bring a reliever specialist in for one batter…that should be allowed from a tiebreaker game at the end of the regular season to the Wild Card round and so on.

This series could be so tight that it might end up putting that rule amendment in motion in the offseason.

In that multiverse scenario, the Tigers wouldn’t have made it out of the WC and the Yankees would’ve lost to the Astros in the ALCS again :skip:

Well, this is just another example of why the rule should be amended then, Astro Boy. Right?

Unlike the NFL, MLB doesnt change rules much. One thing MLB has over the NFL. Dont hold your breath on this one

Everyone on earth knows Cortes pitches into contact, WHY would you put that type of pitcher in with the game on the line and the bases loaded? :mjlol:
The game shouldn't have gone into extras. Weaver blew it. It was a forgone conclusion to me after the fact, regardless of if Cortes or Hill ended up throwing the last pitch.
