This dieting shyt is confusing. Like, we need to eat some fruits and vegetables for nutritions and keep us disease free, but at the same time meat has high protein that fruits and vegetables don't have.

Is there a way to fit both into your diet and try not to go way overboard with it?

You can get protein from beans, lentils, nuts, peas, etc

Yea i remember seeing a documentary about vegans and how a older breh in Louisiana went Plant Based and reaped alot of benefits including dikk health (:dame:)

This is soooo untrue… The nutrients that you get from eating meat are the nutrients the animals are getting from eating what? You guessed it! The protein thing is largely a myth perpetuated bu the bodybuilding industry, you have never seen anyone go to the hospital for a protein deficiency.

Exactly.
The reason why people want that extra protein is usually because of wanting hypertrophy.
But firstly you CAN get all your protein plant-based, and if you have to and you currently take whey protein powder you can take plant-based protein powder instead, but as you said yes most of that is a myth that the bodybuilding industry pushes for billions and billions and billions of dollars.

Plant proteins and animal proteins don’t have the same profile. Additionally you can’t simply get as much protein in a plant based form 1 v 1 to animal protein.

Ultimately if you don’t care about growing and to some degree keeping a higher level of muscle and you have the time to compose vegetarian meals with complete protein profiles then have at it. Having the option to get 25 grams of protein in 4oz of chicken can make life easier on some people as opposed to trying to compose that in a plant based meal. Animal proteins offer a ease and satiation benefit that can’t be discounted.

Also you don’t see people going to the hospital for protein deficiency but you can definitely see the loss of muscle in older people as they pivot away from animal protein and don’t get complete protein profiles.

That ease of satiety also comes with an increase of IGF1 which is a cancer promoting hormone. Animal protein definitely has a higher concentration of protein but it comes with higher amounts of saturated fats, cholesterol, and hormones that plants simply don’t have. Speaking of sexual health in men, it’s also a proven fact that vegan men have lower instances of prostate cancer (a disease that hits black men hard).

Older people that switch over to plant based diets typically lose muscle mass because they simply aren’t eating enough. I will take the loss of muscle mass over cancer and other ailments though.

It’s a pretty big leap over being sensible with moderation to jump to guaranteed cancer and other ailments…….

The building blocks of Proteins are Amino Acids, which are one of the most important factors in overall health
Plants are very poor in Amino Acids and Fat Soluble vitamins, which are ESSENTIAL to health. That can't be disputed
The reason why you don't see "Protein deficiency" cause it manifests itself into all types of known diseases

On top of that the chemical form of a Plant's vitamins and minerals are less bio available than if you were to eat Animal Fat and Protein :yeshrug:
