I believe he's black because his positions are too confused and reckless for him to really be a White Supremacist. He doesn't think like a consistent WS at all, he sorta just adopts positions from them at random.

His issue is that he envelops himself in WS materials and actually believes what they say. I'd bet anything he studied in some heavily-white school and works in some heavily-white industry, probably has a bunch of white coworkers if not now than at some point earlier, and started hearing alt-right narratives so much that he ingrained it into his thinking, even if he wants to lie to himself and say it still somehow is pro-black.
