The people who think this music is “trash” or a “troll” need to understand that albums like this are made 100% with the live show in mind. Not one musical decision is made without thinking how it will sound at a festival or in an arena or stadium.
I’m a fan of lyrical hip-hop and bars as much as the next person but you really want to convince a 17 year old that standing in a room with a few hundred dudes mean mugging each other at a Benny The Butcher show is a party?
I’m all for the 93rd crazy metaphor for loading a clip or paying the cheapest for a brick but sometimes fans want to have a good time. Even if you hate Travis Scott if you missed out on the Astroworld and Utopia tours or you haven’t seen Carti at a festival you’re missing out on a special level of energy.

How? It’s not far fetched at all. He didn’t clear his verse on no face, has Kendrick on 3 songs, and posted an IG story of him and Kendrick taking up 24 of the top 25 spots on Apple Music top songs chart but blocked Drake - Nokia from view.
