@who_better_than_me  If the rockets win game Seven they're pretty much going to be in the WCF against OKC. Wolves are an easy match up for the rockets and I see Jalen Green going off in the second round.
The wolves are a different animal. We’ve had much more trouble containing Edwards than any other star. He m averaged 34 ppg against us this season
FVV is 18/26 from 3 the last 3 games. That's basically 70% :comeon:

In my Karceno voice "they turned the magnet ball on for him:
Now what was his stats for Games 1-3. FVV is getting wide open shots off of Jalen Greens on ball
Gravity, bad defensive awareness(that gp2 4point play to start the 4th), and offensive second chance opportunities from offensive rebounds. In games 1-3 he was getting the same wide open shots, he just wasn’t hitting them.
You type all this still ignoring the original point made: it didn’t work because poor rebounding sabotaged. Nothing worse than a disingenuous d!ckhead who wants you go back and forth without addressing any points made.

They started the strategy with 3:43 left in the 3rd with the score 77-72. By 2:21 after the last hack-a-Adams the score was 84-77.

5 point game :hula: 7 point game.

They picked it up again in the 4th with 5:31 left in the game with the score 101-89. By 2:24 after the last one, the score was 112-97.

12 point game :hula: 15 point game.
Which is why Ime got killed by the local media for benching Adams in Game 4 when we up and Kerr started the hack a strategy. All he has to do is make 50% of his free throws becaue our defense will keep warriors in check. Instead he takes Adams out and our offense craters anyway and we lose a close game

Ehh….Wolves have all the pieces to neutralize what strengths the Rockets have shown so far, but the inverse is also pretty much true. They’re probably going to win the rebounding battle and can play Edwards straight up. They should be beyond seasoned at help and recover after this series if they needed to play that way.

Just gonna come down to manufacturing enough points like always with them. I’d take Wolves because their defensive guys do show a bit more offensive punch, but 5 feels pretty short
We don’t defend Edwards straight up. We trap and zone up against him too. He just beats it. He dribbles around the big and gets downhill.

I just said that cause he said it’s an easy match up. Rockets don’t have the make up to have any easy match these playoffs. Like someone else said they’re a team that doesn’t have its best player yet.

Their poor rebounding absolutely does have affect the efficacy of strategy.
Why do you keep trying to emphasize this point when rebounding is needed on every possesion?

It literally affects every strategy.

Not only is it a redundant point, but like I stated in my previous post, it decreases the chances of Houston grabbing an offensive rebound, particularly in this case where it moves the best offensive rebounder in the league further away from the rim (to where he's at the FT line), where he's less likely to grab a board or affect the possession where it takes two players to box him out and someone else can swoop in.

Whereas using any other defensive strategy, Adams is within a stone's throw of the rim = Houston more likely to grab an offensive rebound.

I'm not sure why you're having such a hard time understanding the obviousness of this.
I said that the poor rebounding sabotaged the strategy, which is backed up by the point differentials.
The point differentials are void of context.

For all we know without that strategy the margin could've been greater than it was.

The only thing you can go off is how many points Adam was able to score at the line at that point of the game and that was 5-12, and that's considerably less efficient than Houston's PPP for the game. What's also objective is that GS were able to conserve energy with that strategy (positively influencing actions further along in the game), and the possibility of breaking up the rhythm of the Houston offense, which was just as essential given they had their best scoring quarter in the 3rd.
In the 4th they were gassed, so it was heading to a blowout no matter what, but the strategy did not help them either. Thus, it did not work.
If it helped them conserve energy and it made the Rockets offense less efficient, then it worked.

The problem was, the efficacy of it was largely inconsequential because they couldn't capitalize off it in any meaningful way.

Because whatever worked during that game was entirely drowned out by everything else that didn't work. And really that's what their hopes of winning Game 7 will be dictated by, winning those small battles during the game, so that they can add up in the fight against the battles that they'll inevitably lose (like the size, depth and health/age advantage Houston has on them).

GSW needed more rim pressure and athleticism on the floor. They were stuck on the perimeter all second half.

The 2-3 Zone Udoka has the Rockets playing is crazy :damn::whew:

Didn't see a lot of them during the season but I can see why they're a 2nd seed now.

Wow excellent effort from the Rockets. I did not expect that. Looks like the Warriors are tired. Let's see if Curry has that one more Olympics type of game left in him or not.

Or will the Rockets keep their focus in game 7.

Bigs are not that easy to find these days. There are some slow footed 7 footers who no longer suit the current NBA style, so they are out of the question. Then the ones who are actually valuable are already overpaid a lot, like Hartenstein.

So if your team needs some big man and they can't pay them much....well good luck then. Same problem is in other basketball leagues where many teams have to either stick with those tall slow oafs or try putting a power forward in a center position.
