A "power difference" never had an effect on the success of consoles before, it probably won't here. And as usual as the generation goes on, the performance differences will be less.


The console is currently selling better than their expectations and it still has not launched worldwide. They also will be first in the Chinese market. It's too early to call which will sell more. Either way I think it will be very close at the end.

Sony has been lumping its ps2 sales in for years. And with the inherent inaccuracies of counting the numbers I'd say a 1 million difference is pretty much equal, especially considering a lot of those sales could be ps2

I think a lot of people are assuming the gap is going to shrink because of what happened last generation. Out the gate the 360 had better performing games but as people learned to code for the Ps3 the gap shrunk. But the thing is the Ps3 was always more powerful than the 360 when coded correctly.

This generation since the PS4 has the better performing games out the gate most are assuming the gap will shrink again once people learn to properly code/utilize the XB1. But the BIG difference here is that the XB1 is not more powerful than the PS4, so any advances made on the XB1 will always fall behind advances made on the PS4. It(XB1) can't technically catch up to the PS4.

That's just not true. It's something people on the forums made up, but it has been debunked by devs on multiple occasions.

I'm tryin not to get into any debates today but breh....Where is this data coming from that the xbox 1 is more powerful then the PS4? I look at some of the game sites and I never see this being said.
