you got fleeced for a series s, which isn’t even a strong as those base consoles and cost almost as much. Now you’re gonna play GTA6 on it like a weirdo

Certain games got incredible upgrades, but most games, especially third party, really only got resolution and FPS bumps.
The point they're making here is how these marginal console upgrades just can't compete with how kids are increasingly gravitating towards PC.
Getting High PC Settings on a console just isn't worth it if I gotta play at a variable 40 FPS.
6 don't need to drop until '28.

its a mid-gen upgrade not a generational upgrade, its priced as such. It’s not supposed to be the PS6
Yeah plus DF is very PC biased so I take their content with a grain of salt. They're some of biggest reviewers that constantly gripe and complain about RT being implemented but then wonder why it's 30FPS. I do think there needs to be more innovation in the video games but that's more on to much consolidation in the industry that stifles people stepping out of the box.
I always enjoy how the PC master race pushes this narrative that people are just flocking to PCs and they're all gaming in 4k 60fps. Even the lower end builds cost more than a ps5 right now and some can’t even afford to upgrade to ps5 yet, some people in this thread even.

I think it's obvious there's a trend in the younger gamers preferring PC more than traditional consoles.
They're all growing up watching their favorite streamers play on PC. Free online also makes it easier for parents to just let their kid have the spare PC or laptop too.
Yeah you're probably spending almost $1200 to get the same performance as a PS5 pro. But there are still a lot of people gaming on the PS4. I tried to fire it up but couldn't do it after seeing how those load screens used to be
