Im gonna have to disagree. graphics and budget aside...
Resogun is one of the best games on PS4 period, regardless what anyone says (anyone that plays and beats it will probably agree)
Transistor is a GREAT game.
Velocity 2X was some peoples GOTY last year.
Strider is an amazing Metroidvania style game that runs smooth as butter.
Binding of Isaac is one of the most addicting games I've ever picked up and gets some of the most streaming views in the PC community. Even the master race approves
Never got into Spelunky but a lot of people say what I said about Isaac about Spelunky.
Dust was completed by one man and has great gameplay, is also a metroidvania game and has amazing art style (though a little fruity for my tastes)
Injustice is cool to get for free if you didn't play it last gen.
Infamous First Light is worth checking out if not just for the graphics (I actually like all these 'indie' games more)
You know you the homie headshots but be honest. Do you see the graphics of these games and say "that's not a PS4 game! trash!"
Or are you actually installing them and playing them learning the mechanics?
Most of those games are the essence of gameplay, some of the most fun I've had in years. It's nice to try something refreshing that's not a typical on rails triple AAA game. If not for PS+ I may have approached them with a similar mindset, "look at how it looks, must be trash"
But since there is 0 risk in trying them I've been thoroughly impressed by all those I listed, give em a shot.
