Im calling out the hypocrisy. @Fatboi1 has always talked about cloud streaming, so it doesn't really apply to him. But a lot of y'all had zero cares about cloud streaming your library until the option was placed in y'all lap, and based on the this thread a lot of y'all bought the portal with no idea of it's actual functions.

I wasn't even talking about you. You just wanted to be included in the convo. Everyone knows you're carrying the water faithfully for M$ ain't nothing contrarian about your takes

Playing Cyberpunk for the first time on the portal this shyt crazy brehs

As someone that hasn’t had a console in years this feel like being back in the psp days (with limitations obviously - it’s a shame I can’t access all streaming games on the store, would love to play RDR2)

I was having issues connecting my ps portal to my iPhone data. I found these settings on Reddit and my shyt was able to connect…. I’m on tmo



Open Wi-Fi settings on your Portal, and scroll to the bottom of the Found Networks, and hit Set Up Manually. (even it you see your hotspot appear, do not click it. this must be done manually to bypass TMobile shenanigans)

Enter your SSID: (same as whatever your hotspot name is, exactly.)

Set your Security type to WPA Personal/Personal 2 (should be second from the list of 4)

Enter your password for the hotspot.

You now need to click IP Address, and set it to Manual. This will take you right back where you were, with a list of new options that will be all 00.00.0.0. Enter these numbers.

IPv4 Address 172.20.10.5

Gateway, Primary DNS, and Secondary DNS will all be: 172.20.10.1

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 (also works with all zeros sometimes)

Use Proxy - OFF

Hidden network - Should not matter, mine is ON.

Hit Done, and it should connect.

Man. This new update pretty much completely changes the Portal. I got this device kinda hoping in the future for something like this, but never expected stingy ass Sony to just add it like that randomly for free. I dropped all my Xbox shyt after that price hike, including my plans to get their handheld. Will still probably get a Steamdeck or something in the future, but for the time being this is good enough for me.

Really is awesome how quickly game streaming has gotten incredible, especially when viewing it on these smaller screens. I’ve always been a fan of the idea of game streaming and still am a founders member for GeForce now. It’s nice seeing it as a very real and stable option these days.

I remote play on my steam deck and it's great but if you don't have the portal is nice as well
