Inside sources with ties to Microsoft has spilled the beans on Microsoft's upcoming successor to the Xbox 360. The sources -who's identity has been held private for obvious reasons has given us a laundry list of things to get excited about...or not.

1. Xbox Live year subscriptions will be raised to $69.99. The source says XBL "platinum" offers new features such as video chatting whilst gaming among other things
2. No first party releases at launch. Launch "Window" titles include Halo 2 Remake, Crackdown 3, Alan Wake 2 and some title from Rare. These aren't coming out day 1 but maybe a few months after. Launch games are standard multiplatform titles.
3. Controller will offer a touchscreen that tethers into a slot underneath the controller. Controller retains some form factor as the Xbox 360 controller but with bigger triggers and revamped Dpad.
4. Will retail @ $199.99 with 2 year subscription to XBL Platinum. Second Sku is tentative but source says it will be $499 with a 100GB hard drive.
5. Xbox Live Marketplace Premium. Buy games and download them remotely online at work or on the road.
6. Still will use a mix of DVD's and Blurays for games that don't need either format. Expect launch titles to use DVD
7. Native 1080P still undecided.

My feelings are not hurt nor has it ever been hurt on this forum. I just come on here from time to time these days because i'm on my 4 months break.
