I cook at home most of the time too. Took some culinary courses when I was 17, and it payed off.
You don't even gotta take a culinary course...nikkas are on the internet...you're halfway there

Hell just turn on Food Network...you watch for an hour or two you'll pick up SOMETHING

But we out here stunting and not tipping huh? :smh:

If you are in the service industry your job is to serve all customers, a$$holes and great people alike. This kind of attitude is why waiters are considered a low-skilled job.

Oh well man. Plenty of nikkas who go out to eat work low skilled jobs too. And get off from being dikkheads to waiters because they think their above them. They go out to nice restaurants trying to be tough and bossy, because in real life they kiss ass to their own bosses.

Everyone in this thread could disregard what I wrote. Go do you. You don't have to take my advice. Doesn't matter to me much.

All this does is make me NOT want to tip. Seriously, you have an easy fukking job, and when someone doesn't PAY YOU EXTRA for doing YOUR job, you get mad and mess with their food?
It's crazy how bum ass waiters/fast food workers always are the ones with this sense of entitlement.
Answer this, why in the FUCC would I tip someone who puts peoples patties in their boxers before serving them?
this. i tip when I can afford to but fukk it man, no more eating out. fukk them nikkas all together

Culinary courses don't just teach you how to cook, they teach you how to make your own recipes too, unique to what you like as a food consumer.

Once you know what goes together and what doesn't, cooking is fun stuff. You learn how to dice, and chop, and all that other shyt too.

@hustlemania is a chef, and he could probably cook you some shyt, that would make things on the food network look bland.

Oh, this convo again.

I'm actually glad most people don't tip well, and I'll tell you why. When I go to a bar, and say my first round is $11, I'll leave the bartender a $20 and tell him to keep the change. He appreciates that because it's not the norm, and returns the favor by not only serving me quicker than the other patrons, but I'll typically get free drinks and shots throughout the night, the value of which well exceeds the $9 I gave him to begin with. So it's a win-win.

With restaurants, I always tip 20% even though I'm not likely to ever see a returned benefit from it because I used to be a server and know what that grind is like. I've had 10+ jobs, including now running my own law firm, and serving is still the hardest, most hectic job I've ever had.

What you guys who complain about tipping don't understand is that the margins in restaurants isn't all that great. And they're in it to make money, not to maximize savings for customers. So if there was no such thing as tipping, instead of paying $15 for that burger and being expected to tip your server $3, the restaurant would just make the burger cost $18, and you're paying it anyway. And if that were to occur, the server REALLY has no incentive to give you good service, because his "tip" is built into the price of the burger already. So he's getting his whether he refills your drink promptly or not.

But Fonzie, is it a MAJORITY of customers who don't tip 20% AND are a$$holes? Or are you lumping all low tippers into the a$$hole category?

And if poor mexicans who work in the fields picking the fruit they serve starting acting up and complaining about the compensation they receive, these same service workers would have a fit. Service workers dont want to recognize the hard truth that there is a reason why its a job populated by 19 year olds who earn 2-4 bucks n hour as a base.

And I would have their back if they were even remotely humble about things. But their sense of entitlement and vindictiveness is off the charts. Mainly because servers tend to be offspring of rich cacs who are forced to work for the first time while in school, so they feel the normal rules that apply to low end workers of course shouldnt apply to them.

Be one or the other.

If you're not going to tip, fine. Not everybody has it. But dont be a smug fukk about it.

If you're gonna be a smug fukk, then tip well.

But don't refuse to tip, AND be a smug fukk.

I've had some of the best service in countries where tipping wasn't the norm. I think the bolded is only true because the pay in the United States for these types of jobs are laughable.

I do tip and have no problem doing so. I have a problem with being threatened with criminal behavior if I don't pay what is essentially a bribe for doing what's supposed to be your job.
