Please help me understand the Dwight Howard hate.

1) Goofy like Shaq without the titles
2) Tried to steal Shaq nickname
3) Bytched his way out of two cities and didn't do anything at his new destinations
4) Hypocrite who came into the league on some AC Green tip only to wind up with 3+ baby mommas

People like to gang up on folks that do things that they don't understand/agree with...especially if the person is considered soft. If Dwight does all the same shyt but has a mean mug and says the right tough guy shyt then there is nowhere near the hate.

Then there is the Kobe beef and leaving the Lakers high and dry. If he leaves Orlando like that and goes to LA and is buddies with Kobe then there is nowhere near the hate.

I think at this point it's gone far beyond Laker/Kobe fans hating on him. I personally don't even hate Dwight and posted a week or so ago how I think he's become underrated. I think people don't fukk with the goofy personality. That combined with the injuries of late making him not as dangerous on the court and people are coming out of the woodworks to pile on while he's down. I think if he was still playing like he was back in his Orlando days people would still fukk with him heavy.

He should have NEVER opted in that year in Orlando. I am convinced that 98% of the hate he gets is directly correlated with that bone headed decision.

People were riding for him before that, there were even articles supporting him leaving Orlando. But then he opted in and brought the whole circus with him. Not to mention him being Shawn Kemp 2.0 with all the illegitimate children while claiming to be such a hardcore Christian turned ALOT of people off to him.


The jokes and shyt never really bothered me personally, everybody isn't going to be a stone cold laugh-less assassin like Kobe. But it DID seem like he got jokey at the WRONG the moments. Shaq could pull it off because Shaq gave off the vibe that he truly didn't give a fukk. Dwight comes off as sensitive..

Where to begin.....

First off it's his over inflated view of himself. Dude been in the league a decade and has not developed any type of consistent go to move in the post. shyt foot work, no post moves, no jumper, can't hit fts yet he's supposed to be looked at as the best big in the game?

Secondly like many have said he's a cornball to the nth degree and not even in that funny Shaq way when he is funny on occasion or the Bosh way where he is funny/awkward and it catches you off guard. He's corny flat out cringeworthy corny. I heard audio/video of him doing lame ass pranks and impressions. Just cringeworthy awkward shyt.

Lastly he's a bytch ass snake nikka who you know can't be trusted and will throw any of his teammates and coaches under the bus. Not to mention his blatant softness. He's been in plenty of winning situations and has produced nothing but playoff flameouts
