Rockets fans have definitely complained about this too, and do you think general fans like when an athlete is celebrating losses?? Dwight is not the first guy to get killed over thatOnce again, how is this relevant when its only non Rockets fans saying this?

That's true, but I have definitely seen tons of Rockets fans who are over Dwight at this point..none of them want him to re-sign. I don't hate Dwight personally, was mad when he left but don't really care. It is annoying though seeing him play and how if he stops whining, he can impact the game. But this guy always picks up silly fouls in the first Q and misses half of the game.The loud voices are all non Rockets fans

Got by on sheer size during an era when the center position was incredibly weak. Assumed a posture and swagger of dominance when he was really just "very good." Never really improved. Rode Shaq so much he sharked his whole steez, then acted like a sad ho when Shaq rejected him. Got sonned out by Tim Duncan, who scoffed at him like the incorrigible brat he is. Is a high profile multi-millionaire but fukks pimple-faced teens who work at McDonalds. Is always a champion in his own mind, despite how pathetic he or his team fare in the playoffs. Is a phony religious goofball.

Lakers are by far the biggest and most influential fanbase in the sport. You are pretty reasonable, most fans aren't. Most fans are followers who just parrot what they hear. He went against what was expected by leaving the Lakers and people don't respond well to going against what is expected. That said, I think it is more so about the bolded. We've seen a strong personality and/or rep cover for all types of things.

Trust me I hate a lot of the Laker fans too and know that a lot of us play a big part in the Dwight perception. There is also a lot of Laker haters out too. And from what I've been seeing a lot of the same people that were laughing at the Lakers for losing Dwight are the same ones shytting on Dwight now and saying any team that picks him up would be idiots. Folks have to look at the Rockets scheme and how little Dwight touches the ball as well as the fact that a lot of his rest is just being cautious. Come playoff time there is no back to backs and as we've all seen the last few years Dwight can turn it up.
And you are dead on. Folks want that conventional chest pounding alpha dog and can't take that he's smiling and not acting all super serious so assume he doesn't care at all. Shame that folks can't get past all that.
