Eh. In due time, people will learn why we all need guns! It just hasn't gotten to that point yet. I said long ago that all schools should have cops there and the movies too. Both incidents have already occured now but I said this way back when. I realize that america (well, societies in general) wait for the worst to happen and then act. For whatever reason (other than monetary), I don't know but we should be proactive in preventing tragedies like this. Banning guns will not do so. There are WAY WAY WAY too many on the market and a ban would only force us all who have them to go underground (like many already do) to get them. They already pretty much have caps on automatic weapons but the shooter allegedly only used pistols. The assault weapons ban would be useless in this case. His AR was left in his car..
You serious?! Like after school shyt or during class?! WTF....wait wait wait, was it the hoodI went to a middle school and high school that had 2 armed cops on payroll. We still had shootings at both schools.
?
Americans only care about things when it hit close to home. So selfish.
to protect ourselves from an oppressive regime/government.
and england has a problem with stabbings

They have a city with 8 million people and 150 murders... I think America would be well suited to follow their model rather then their existing model of "guns for everybody" It won't be solved over night but if the people who are being victimized take steps they can easily restrict access and make their communities that much safer. Why is it insane to ask that firearms, which are intended to kill people, be as restricted, if not slightly more than automobiles, which kill people by accident?
O
Granted that they aren't as restricted as other countries, but who says that they aren't restricted here in a number of places? It's insane to ask that question because who's to say that a model that's successful in one country will turn out successful in America? Do you ever listen to yourself angrily rant? I think it's best you follow the "calm down" model where you stfu and save your thinly veiled anti-American tirades for some other time.
they arent restricted at all is the problem. they arent restricted at all is the problem.
How can you compare guns to knives? Knives have other purposes other than... killing... and they are severely restricted in the UK that's why they have a much better murder rate... you're embarrassing yourself son I suggest you crack open a book before you address me.
Oh, the sweet irony, considering that it's self-righteous Canadians and other non-Americans who feel it necessary to get on their soapboxes and gloat about their "safe" countries and only care about gun violence only when an unfortunate outbreak like this occurs (where Americans are grieving for the loss of others) largely due to anti-American sentiment. None of you care nearly as much about the stabbing of children in a Chinese school that occurred today, or shootings outside of America, and yet we're supposed to believe that you non-Americans operate on some higher moral and compassionate plain when what you're really doing is taking this opportunity to attack Americans. Gtfo.
Dumb limeys. Why can't they have an honest dialogue about knife crime? Why is it so insane to suggest that knives in England should be severely restricted, or outlawed at the worst? America is a country of 300 million, and yet, we don't have anywhere near the same problems with knife crime.

England also have problems with knife violence. I suppose they should restrict those, too. They have problems with massive riots, which leads to unnecessary violence and even death. I suppose those should be heavily restricted, even banned. Oh, and bombs and other explosives, and any other materials that can create such weapons. They should be heavily restricted, as well. We can't have a repetition of 2005, now can we? Cars can kill people, I guess they should be heavily restricted if not outright banned, as well. Movies, music and video games that can influence on to commit violent acts should be banned too..oh wait, they already are.

Take away as many weapons as you want but until you fix the condition of a man or woman's heart it doesn't matter. If somebody wants to kill, they will kill. Too much wicked energy in peoples thoughts. R.I.P to all of those victims.
