I don't know why but I think Simmons got bust potential.

For one he chose to go to a shytty team. Unless you're going to go and help rebuild that program or at least convince other players to go with you....You either got paid under the table or you're simply a smart/dumb nikka.

For two, dude seems passive. On a bumb squad he barely took over games.

And for three he just doesn't seem genuine. After their loss he said the coaches and players are like family to him and said he wanted to play in the NIT. The fact that LSU isn't combined with the fact that he wasn't eligible for the wooden awards leads me to believe they knew he was full of shyt. The only way he proves me wrong is by coming back.

and both he and Olowokandi had been the tournament before. Simmons will never see it.

I'm sure the committee would have put them in if they were a bubble team, but their last 10 games they went 4-6. Their RPI was ranked 94th and the SEC wasn't a good conference this year. Would have been fun to see what he could do in big games with all the pressure, but lets not act like LSU as a team didn't underachieve this year and their coach will probably be looking for a new job very soon.

When you just get embarrassed against Texas A&M, it's hard to take you seriously when you say you want to play at LSU as long as possible knowing damn well you been stopped taking your classes seriously. If he would've come out and said he was coming back I would respect it. If he would've gone the Wiggins route and said he was only staying for one season in November I woulve respected it. But that's not the case. I just don't see any killer instinct in him. No fight. He let his team go out like chumps. They wasted a scholarship on him.
