Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Suge had cops on payrolls …it’d be naive to think that type stuff still don’t go on

Honestly this all goes back to “checking in”. Sadly, I don’t think there’s a way around it. If nggas find out you in LA and ain’t checked in, they move

Reminds me of young berg——2nd young berg reference—-when he was in Detroit the club security was the ones who all jumped him
Is there some kind of understanding between the locals that if an out-of-towner checks in with one of them then they are not to be bothered with? Do they share profits with each other as part of this collaborative heist? Who gets the biggest slice of the pie? Is there a standard fee for checking in? Or is that determined by the market? Are their different packages of services? Different protection plans? Rules and regulations to this operation? Best practices for this business? Or is it that you pay for one team who is hopefully well respected and can get busy if needed? Are their Yelp reviews so you know what you’re getting? After checking in do these locals accompany you wherever you go? Do you have to pay for their meals? Do you have to buy their weapons? Do you get to call them your big bro? Or are they your lil bro because they’re on your payroll? Is there any insurance just in case you check in and still get hit?

Edit: our culture is so fukking wack sometimes.

He had beef before with some other dude on live

Well there you go. It’s a lot to unpack here:

-respectfully speaking I think we can see PNB was not on that time, and is more performing for an audience here. The other dude is bout it and o owns what can happen

- dude says “When I pulled up to hitmaka studio you wasn’t on shyt’. Hitmaka one of the first people that came out ‘I wasn’t feeling old girl dropping that location’ ….Hitmaka likely knew PNB had static

- @ 2:28 it seem like either PNB—- or his girl :snoop:—- swings the phone and shows the background. Dude puts his glasses on and says ‘where you at?’, like he realizes PNB may be in LA

-Earlier it was mentioned PNB made his girl take her IG down. Her last post was March. Immediately i thought ‘I bet this video was done in March’. I can’t find out for sure but one comment says ‘this video been up since March’

My guess is shyt got heavy for PNB around this time and he knows his girl move reckless with posting stuff so he made her get off IG. It was probably her swinging the phone showing their location (why would she do that?). The first DAY she gets her phone back she posts their location and he’s dead.

I think my initial gut reaction is true here:

Considering a) there was allegedly another robbery attempt recently, and b) he apparently lived in LA. c) he was in the hood seemingly comfortably, I’m inclined to believe it was more than just as random robbery…if it even was a robbery

If a new generation is on some ‘man that’s dumb I’m not checking in’, the gangs only way to ensure the whole racket don’t crumble is to make examples. Imo that’s what’s happening with all these LA rapper deaths. I do not believe they are all just happenstance robberies, this one included

You haven't been paying attention to LA. They ran a white lady over in broad daylight just to take her watch after she left a jewelry store:

Regular people are getting targeted in wealthy areas but you think someone sitting in a restaurant in the hood with 100k in jewelry on his neck and wrist plus thousands in his pocket is moving smart and won't be targeted?

Throw the idealism out the window and be a realist. Of course it's not PNB Rock's fault he was murdered but you have to admit he made a grave error not being aware of his surroundings. He admitted to being tried multiple times while in LA and was able to get away clean. That's when it's time to leave LA or make sure you have security with you at all times.

People are discussing what he did wrong so the next rapper doesn't make the same mistake. It's not victim blaming. Having security and not putting your location on social media has been said for years and especially after Pop Smoke was killed. The message isn't getting through to everyone so it has to said again.

yep…they shot an israeli dude (he survived) for his watch…then there was a group of dudes who did a smash and grab out a jewelry store’s display window in fukking broad daylight…it is insanely ridiculous out there right now

nikkas check in and fukk around and gain a whole other dependent to claim on their taxes :pachaha:

does checking in only apply to coming to the hood or the whole damn city? Does it only apply to c/d list rappers or does Taylor Swift, Nas and Beyonce check in too :lupe:

And yall trippin...of course he should have had security or maybe shouldn't have wore the jewels... but even if he didn't, just his fame alone could have some scumbag make the call like 'yo, this rich rapper is in here, come get him'...so it probably would have played out the same in that location regardless.

And why don't other celebrities get done like this? Why almost exclusively rappers? In a 'culture' full of people glamorizing being 'demons' and 'savages'...I mean what more even needs to be said? It's the energy man...not saying hip hop is responsible for the shooters and jackers taking (I'm sure they're influenced heavily by it tho) but yeah bro, it's the energy surrounding rap and rappers and the promotion of all the wrong shyt...dark energy attracts dark energy. I'm about to be off all this completely in a minute, shyt fukks up your whole Din consuming this nonsense regularly.

You're being obtuse.

You ever see paparazzi photos of celebs in LA? They're walking around in sweatpants, flip flops, and a t shirt. You couldn't rob them for anything valuable. You'd have to kidnap them to get anything and the average criminal isn't up to that task. They're trying to get the goods and flee as quickly as possible.

Benny the Butcher pulled up to a Walmart in Houston in a Rolls Royce with all his chains on and got shot in a robbery attempt. He was only there to get a PS5.

Rappers pull out 20k in cash and tell you that's light because they usually walk around with 50. They tell you they spent 100k on their chain, 50k on the watch and they have it on in public.

I recently walked past Chris Rock in Manhattan. He was dolo and I don't think anyone besides me even recognized him. He didn't stand out in any way. Had he hopped out of a Lambo then everyone would have seen him.

Someone in Roscoes may not have even known who PNB Rock was but they saw the jewelry or his car outside so they lined him.

Bottom line is rappers do a lot of things to get attention and stand out and that comes with consequences.

White people, politicians, businessmen, walk around with diamond bracelets and $30,000 rolexes, bentleys all over major cities, athletes in lambos, but pnb should've "moved smarter" because "la is hot right now"

Listen to yourselves. Idk why but this shyt got me heated.

Bruh do these politicians and businessman walk into a fukking Roscoes on the east side of South Central with outwards displays of wealth?

immensely so…since forever ppl of means, upper class etc. however you want to label them keep out of certain places or they dress down to the point of practically being disguised if they want to navigate certain places…I hate to do the “only black ppl” shtick but I feel comfortable saying it’s largely black rappers who break that “unwritten” rule and think they can get away with showing off their possessions in certain areas with no consequence…it’s just not realistic and it’s constantly being demonstrated…they have to learn this at some point…yes in a perfect world you should be able to drive your 6 figure car in any neighborhood and flash stacks of cash and jewelry in the immediate vicinity of ppl who don’t have it like that but we’re not there yet as a society

For as right as you are, folks are too emotional and in their feelings to accept this as fact. And these will be some of da same people warning others against going to developing countries being flashy & flautin' money or valuables for da same reasons. When you look at it, it's all very hypocritical. Folks only get like this about these rappers. Cause when it's anybody else, people will swear they bought it on themselves.
