How would you feel if you found out all of your coworkers were making 15-25k more than you? Especially if youre more knowledgeable and been their longer? :why:

I'll tell you in the IT contracting world, I've seen people doing the same exact job, but one making 40k more other. And it aint because of seniority. One person making 60k and the other making 95k. This is really prevalent in the Help desk / Service Desk area. But even in the Tier 3. You'll have most of the team making 105k to 120k with a measly 3% yearly increase and the new Guy comes in making 140k - 150k knowing a fraction of the job. Sometimes loyalty hurts you, but a lot of people get comfortable. I move around unless the job is really cool.

And a lot of people don't negotiate right. You have to ask question as if you're the prize, you real are. If they paying you 100k, they getting probably 140-160k for the position. All always ask if there's pay range.

And please always tell them you make more than you do. I just switched jobs exactly one month ago. Told them I made 15k more than I actually did. Did the interview, offer comes back. 20K more than I stated.

35k jump.

:blessed: Should've asked for another extra week of leave also.

About 10 years ago I was talking to this cyber security consultant at a conference who did most of his work with community banks. He said the easiest way to get in was to send an email around with a spreadsheet attachment called "2023 Salaries" or whatever. Almost everyone clicked it.

I don't follow. Send an e-mail with a spreadsheet...how do you get the spreadsheet to begin with?

This or an “accidental” termination email with a pdf addressed to the wrong person

Yeah I know some, but I don't care really.

Many at my job have shared their income without me really asking anything.

Me, on the other hand: ":childplease:, I ain't sharing shyt, b."

Don't know and largely difficult to care as I'm the only person at my spot that does what I do in relation to the entire operation.

Don’t really care as long as my check is right every payday. Can’t be mad that someone marketed their self and got a better pay. That’s on your ass :russ:

How is a 3% yearly raise measly? What do most companies offer?
My last 2 jobs didn’t offer raises at all. My current job does 1%.
