Sweet dreams are now forsaken
Such hope I had for us
You'd think that we would make it
but now I've had enough
Heart and soul, I was bare and naked
Until you let me down
I never thought that you would break it
Now I hide when you come around.

Inside my mind, inside my head
Words flow on a riverbed
Trickling, dripping, flowing drops
I try and try but it never stops
I want peace, I want serene
I want a lake, not a river stream
Always thinking, water logged
Can never seem to clear this fog.
I try to keep my thoughts contained
I wanna go where it never rains
Give me someplace warm and dry
Above the clouds I wanna fly
Towards the sun or desert sands
If I thirst, I know where to land
Right now I just need some reprieve
Don't want to cry, I just want to breathe.
