Point to Ponder: In the modern era, what's the motivation for a male to pursue Gynecology?

Everywhere...You never there.
So if being a Gynecologist isn't a family business, and you've never been exposed to it...what would make a college-aged male pursue this field? I know the pay is good...but it's just puzzling to me...

When a young, hetero male starts classes in OB/GYN at a University, do female instructors/professors give him the :usure: :stopitslime: faces on the low...

Thoughts?

Would like for women to weigh in, too. Would you allow a younger, late 20s to early 30s OB/GYN to examine you?

Uhh they have a desire to use their knowledge to help others? Plus get paid well too.

I envision its not a field that is handed down like a family business, but is probably heavily considered once they enter or finish medical school.

The underlined is probably the deal for most males... But I'm talking about the ones who want to be an OB/GYN before med school. And I don't agree...I think it's a field that is handed down sometimes. Just as dentistry, general physicians, attorneys, etc.

Brought this up because, I was watching Hoda & Kathy Lee...Yeah... and Hoda said she feels uncomfortable with a younger, male OB/GYN examining her and opts for women. So I got to thinking...

a lot of exposure to surgery plus medicine, without having to deal with a lot of bullshyt in a surgical residency. Get trained in some cutting edge medical technology, like docs who specialize in fertilization. The money is def :ahh: but that lifestyle and malpractice costs are :scusthov:

Handed down? You mean encouraged right? Yeah there are probably cases where a parent encourages their children to pursue the same field they are in, but you simply can't just "hand-down" a medical practice like that. At least not in the same way you'd hand down a family owned restaurant.

Only because of the amount of time it takes to actually start practicing into your own field.

Lol I remember I had a hemorrhoid once and I had to go to the doctor for it. The female nurse put me on my side and stuck her finger in my a$$hole. One of the most uncomfortable feelings ever. :scusthov:

Nikka it is a job. There is an OBS portion of OBS/GYN, not just looking at pussies all the day. Delivering babies and shyt. Just like there are nikkas that are urologists, they don't look at penises all day.
