Honestly don’t know how anyone over the age of 15 can get excited about these games still
Nostalgia with Pokemon is always the big thing. Though honestly, compared to the first 3 gens of Pokemon, how much the quality the series has fallen is staggering.

Like a lot of first-party Nintendo games, it is easy. However, Mario, Kirby, etc are usually creative and well designed even if they are easy as a family-friendly game. Pokemon just feels cheap and recyclable.

At some point they should focus on the story of these mainline games. Put in the effort that the series does in Xenoblade & Fire Emblem. (Granted, Fire Emblem has major inconsistency issues with story quality, but at least it had voice acting and attempts to tell a story. Even if it was the case of Engage, where it was a bad story.) Of course Pokémon Company pushing for games to come out almost yearly does make this impossible.

There is nothing interesting about Pokémon games nowadays. If it didn't carry the Pokemon game nobody would give them a 2nd look.

Man, I missed the days of Pokemon Colosseum. I loved that game :wow:

Thats what I mean, I understand nostalgia is the hook (they got me twice with S&S and Arceus) but the games are so obviously low effort compared to Nintendo in-house stuff. It just thrives off fan service at this point.

Scarlet/Violet released running like shyt, got horrible scores, and it still sold like gangbusters. I just assume most adults know better by now but apparently not
