Poll: Can/Do people pop up randomly for visits to your crib?

Talking to this girl from up north and she says back home you can pull up on people to visit them. I told her nah, you need to call, text or plan and not to just show up at my crib. She seemed confused and said we’re different.

The south hospitable than a mf but only person i I’d even consider pulling up on without calling is my grandparents cause they ain’t gonna be doing shyt and happy you came by. Every else, that just disrespectful imo

This is such an American thing. In Africa and Mid East, the pop-in is a normal part of life.


Some people might even get offended if you call first.

Edit: Personally I don’t prescribe to that idea at all. You better call or I am not buzzing you in.

My place has never been the chill spot. I treat my home like the bat cave. Only a select few will ever be able to come to my house. And even then, only my cousin can show up unannounced and I not be bothered. He has a key. If I’m busy or sleep, he’ll sit his ass in the living room and chill until I’m available.
