When I wasn't a in a relationship, yeah.

If they are attracted to you, women will usually appreciate the confidence. Women assume that there is a reason behind the confidence so they get curious.

The problem is that you heathens make it obvious that you want to jump into their pants.

You need to be more subtle in your approach. Strike up a casual conversation, and attempt to make the woman laugh.

Not, "ayo ma, you looking kind of right in them jeans". The women that fall for that are probably not even worth the effort.

I'm much more likely to carry on a conversation with a guy when he talks about something that pertains to me (like if I have a cart full of fruit and he asks me if the raspberries taste good, or if I'm making a smoothie), versus if I'm walking and he comments like the bold, or just says 'hi' (as I'm passing by-I'm going to say hi & KIM)

I approach women frequently but as weird as it sounds, I don't do it to get women. I just do it as Rejection Therapy. I do it to get over my fear of rejection and to curb social anxiety. Just some personal self improvement exercise on my part.

Naturally you end up talking to and meeting lots of women as a result

Nothing weird about that at all. A lot of people need more practice at social interacting.

I did on friday(she worked at this hotel i was staying at...does that count?) She wasn't very receptive, and i was very rusty because i don't approach women like that anymore. Generally speaking I don't see myself doing another cold approach for a very long time.

It can get awkward though when the chick starts to push up on me after I got what I came for...

I never know if a guy wants to approach. They either come out of nowhere or they are staring at me, but not smiling so I don't know if he wants to approach me or kill me.

I've only done it to one girl ever. What stops me is I wouldn't know know what to say. I can only hold convos when I'm drunk and I don't get drunk often.

Never really looked into it. I just kinda suffer through it. I look up the Valerian root, thanks.

I approach on occasion. It's not a habit, as I don't really plan on dating anyone seriously right now, but sometimes a girl is either too interesting or too hot to pass up on speaking to, especially if she seems receptive before you've even opened your mouth.

Most guys still approach women anyway, not always respectfully but it will always happen. A better question is how many guys get approach by women, and how many times, because that's probably happened to me almost as often as I've approached girls

I can't start convo's with random chicks in transit. I'm better in a work or classroom environment.

Also, I can't stand talking to intoxicated people, so any activity/event involving chicks is a no go.
