Yep

Edutainment was a good album....but people thought KRS was going a lil soft

So he responded with Sex and Violence :whew:

I was always told by people in the circle that he dropped Sex & Violence as sarcasm. It was like, this is what the industry wants? Ok I'mma give to them, but sarcastically, as obviously he was opposed to that lol. I think label people even were pressuring these kind of artists to make gangsta rap and bytches records etc. So this album was like a sarcastic defiance of that conceptually. But like you said, KRS always had those 2 sides to him, like wanting peace but being ready for war.

i'd say 3 undisputed classics
criminal minded
by any maens necessary
sex and violence

"classic" is a very high standard for me:usure:
some of his solo albums are too new
you have to see how it stands up over time
ask me again in 10 years and there will probably be more than 3 :manny:

Yeah, PM Dawn was like "he calls himself the teacher, what is he teaching?" :snoop:

Yeah a teacher of what or some shyt like that, then said something about Public Enemy making moutains out of molehills apparently lol. So I think KRS was pissed a new artist would come in and disrespect like that when PM Dawn were more of a pop act. I don't even dislike PM Dawn, like some of their records, but that was a bad statement.
