in 1992.. Jordan won: NBA Title, Finals MVP, MVP, Gold Medal, and Scoring title all in the same Season.... (not to mention selling shoes / commercials by the boatload).... Hands down the most dominate season in NBA history (probably sports history)...

Vote on Rap's version of that Prestigious Honor:

Snoop Dogg - 1993
2pac - 1996
Biggie - 1997
DMX - 1998
Eminem - 2002
50 Cent - 2003
Lil Wayne - 2008

Snoop 1993: Released Doggy Style (biggest rapper debut in history at the time and also Universal classic).. Was on: Nothing But a G Thang, fukk Wit Dre Day (all time classic songs)

2pac 1996: Released All Eyez on me (Diamond album) and The Don Killumanti: 7 Day Theory... 2 #1 albums and universally recognized hiphop classics

Biggie 1997: Released Life After Death (Diamond album)... Also universal Classic... Was on: Been Around the World, Benjamins Remix, Victory

DMX 1998 - Released Dark and Hell is Hot, Flesh of My Flesh.. 2 #1 Albums, 1 Universal Classic.. Also Released The Belly Soundtrack and Belly Movie... Was featured on: We be clubbin Remix, Money Power Respect, Money Cash Hoes, Ruff Ryders Anthem Remix

Eminem 2002: Released Eminem Show (Diamond Album), 8 Mile Sountrack and 8 mile Movie

50 Cent 2003: Released Get Rich or Die Trying (12mil sold world wide... 872,000 sold in first 4 days *dropped on a Thursday due to leak), Gunit Beg For Mercy Album.. 1 Universal Classic Album

Lil Wayne 2008: Released Carter 3 (a million in 1 week)... Album probably would've done "Get Rich" numbers if not for bootlegging / file sharing being more rampant in 2008... had *countless* features / guest appearances all over BillBoard (including "Can't believe it", "Swagga Like Us", "Turnin me On", "My Life" to name a few)

If you are talking solo career then every rapper u already mentioned is the correct answer....If u are talking overall....

93 was shared by Naughty By nature, Onyx, Cypress Hill, 2pac, Dre , Ice Cube with Wu tang at the end....So Snoop couldnt really dominate 93

Fugees was to strong for Pac to dominate 96 but his death did help

97 was a Bad Boy year..with No Limit and The Wu coming in 2nd place

98 was Lauryn Hills , DMX and Jay.

02 started off as a Rocafella Year and ended with Em

03 started with 50 and ended with Outkast

08 was all Lil wayne....TI was doing his thing but Lil Wayne dominated 08

The answer to the "overall" is Lil Wayne.

Curtis easy. :ehh:

Everyone else shared their time in the sun.
Curtis was on top of the entire industry.
Even carried his team to the top :wow:, something i dont think has ever been done.

True. When 50 had it he was by far in his own class that year. Came in like a tidal wave. Everybody else shared their time at the top. Em had a big year but he was really only strong in a couple demographics. 50 had the streets/suburbs/radio/club/females, etc. He was just everywhere.

Gotta be honest, I never seen anything like when GRODT dropped. I remember I visited family in MOBILE, ALABAMA, the countriest place on earth, the weekend it dropped. EVERY SINGLE CAR had a 50 song playing out of it!!!!!!! :mindblown: Niqqas was playing album cuts like they were singles. I'm not going to front, I was a crazy 50 hater back then. I am man enough to admit I regret that now because I didn't really give myself the opportunity to bask in a unique moment in hip hop history :to:.

50 Cent without a doubt

GRODT was played in the club, in the streets, in the suburbs

All tracks on the album got radio play

In the club was a world wide hit

Everybody luvd 50 back then... The hoz at the club, the thugs in the hood, the white boys in the suburbs....

Neva seen a rap artist dominate the underground n the mainstream like 50 did that year
