Pac is the GOAT so whatever supports that. But lyrical content and complexity are two completely different things.
well PAC is arguably goat because he does every single one of those things

GOAT lyrical content
Strong complexity
Sold more than anyone
Has 3 straight up classics in a row and more arguably
has at least 2 maybe 4 groundbreaking albums
never fell off ever, and was getting better some might say
impact? Come on now LOL
Forefather? look at those that ripped him off after
was the hottest rapper in the game from 95-97 and had a following going back to brenda had a baby and keep your head up
his entire catalog is thoro of JUST released music

pac hits every thing on that list and its why he probably has the best argument for greatest ever

Surprised entire catalog is getting so many votes. I overlook the subpar material from all artists when evaluating them. Everyone has subpar material.

1st and 2nd options should have just been one category..."rapping skills" with all of those qualities in parentheses....that is what I judge all rappers on....

2nd is catalog

that's it

False

what pac did you listen to? He was never a GREAT lyricist...he was a great song writer that knew how to convey raw, powerful emotion through music...Pac was never the guy you listened to and was like..damn...that muthafukka can rap his ass off...

He doesn't have a groundbreaking classic either.

His content was maybe the strongest in rap history. We will just disagree.

Classics. Classic albums are like MVPs to me. A n!gga got 4, 5 classic solo albums gotta be one of the best, if not THE best to ever do it.

I agree, he was never a GREAT lyricist. He was more along the lines of a naS. The GREAT lyricists are Lupe, Jay type nikkaz. But I disagree, he did rap his ass off, he just didnt have those rewind type bars. Thats why I think OP shoulda separated content and complexity.

i'm not even going to address this.
He just doesn't have a Paid In Full, Chronic, Illmatic type record to me. 3 back to back classics though...at least to me...although they are all flawed and I could understand an argument that he has no real classics - but I would vehemently disagree.

lol at pac not being a great lyricst smh at u intilectualu should know better

pac was the greatest lyricist he had multisyllable rhyme schemes metaphors wordplay punchlines etc

sometimes i feel like people are not listening to the same pac

and akademik he needs to shut up because he thinks multis need to match in syllable count and all that bullshyt he is textcee and not a true mc so he has no crediblity in terms of talking lyrics and all that.
