Gotta love how Hillary's obvious advantage is downplayed. If Obama didn't run in 08, she basically would've had the nomination then.

Before anyone breaks in with "Russia" stuff related to the Clinton loss, I always love to remind them even Obama who had all the intelligence there is to have on the Russia issue said Hillary lost because of a terrible campaign instead of the Russia issue.

Obama suggests Clinton didn't work as hard as he did

“How we organize politically I think is something that we should spend some time thinking about. I believe that we have better ideas, but I also believe that good ideas don’t matter if people don’t hear them,” Obama told reporters Monday ahead of a foreign trip to Greece, Germany and Peru. “And one of the issues the Democrats have to be clear on is, given population distribution across the country, we have to compete everywhere. We have to show up everywhere. We have to work at a grass-roots level, something that’s been a running thread in my career.”

“You know, I won Iowa not because the demographics dictated that I would win Iowa. It was because I spent 87 days going to every small town and fair and fish fry and VFW hall, and there were some counties where I might have lost, but maybe I lost by 20 points instead of 50 points,” Obama said. “There are some counties maybe I won that people didn’t expect because people had a chance to see you and listen to you and get a sense of who you stood for and who you were fighting for.”

Not saying, Russia didn't have some effect but when you look at the way the campaign was ran you can probably blame it on a much simpler issue. Not doing the basics of running a campaign. Maybe instead of putting out ads about Trump saying bad and mean words, maybe put out ads how his policies will make your life worse. Maybe instead of spending more time in safe spots like DC and thousand dollar dinners you need to get out there on the ground more in the last 2 months of the campaign

You mean the "obvious advantage" of being the most qualified candidate with the most achievable policy?
:mjlol:

How dare she

:mjlol:
I'm not going back and forth on that shyt but lol at that. More like the obvious advantage of being a household name from the beginning with a media establishment already telling us she's the one and a party stacked to favor her, but carry on.

Other than O'Malley, how come no Dem Governors are listed as options? John Hickenlooper and Jay Inslee are both two term Democratic Governors who aren't afraid to go after Trump.Hell, I'd even take Ed Rendell at this point over almost all of the poll options.

If y'all chose Gavin Newsom and believe he has an advantage then bless your hearts. Dude is not winning over the South and the Midwest with his Coastal Elite, ultraliberal stance. He'll get votes from states like NY and CA, but that's to be expected for a left wing candidate. Also he has too much personal baggage that people will use against him. Alcoholism, infidelity, and breaking a trust between a friendship. Just like Biden (who has a f_cked up family dynamic), he's known as a creeper. He'll easily get washed.

I'm surprised nobody brought up Sherrod Brown. He seems to be the most realistic choice at this point.

Y'all can call us Uncle Toms all you want, but the realistic dynamic in politics right now is that it has to be an all White Male ticket. White Americans are still on the "White people must win at all costs" train and they are still angry. You guys underestimated White anger and that's how we ended up with Trump. On the left side, the White males will just have to be progressives and a true alternative to Trump and his minions.

I'm an Obama fan but one of his biggest flaws is that he didn't do anything to prepare the Democrats for what would happen after his departure from the White House. The Dems lost way too much seats and power under his presidency and he did...almost nothing :francis:.

That isn’t Obama’s fault.

He Democratic Party was still under Clinton control and they all believed Hillary was a shoo in so they focused resources on her than developing their bench. Biden probably would have ran in 2016 had it not been for the handshake deal with Hillary.

Also let’s not forget how Dems we’re running scared of Obama after he passed Obamacare. All the in danger Dems separated themselves from Obama and each on that did, lost their seat. The people who stayed byObama ended up a lot better than those who didn’t
