Funny part about it...Kanye actually came to my school and performed in the quad right next to the law school in 2004 right after CD dropped. There was only a couple hundred people there...I seemed to be the only one familiar with the album

KRS helped lay the foundation for the modern MC. Kanye is a good artist but he's regressed as an mc. Plus he's never been the best producer in the game. RZA and Dilla were both better mc/producers

Did you forget about the Native Tongues?/Kanye, he pretty much pioneered rap for middle class black kids and helped pioneer black excellence in an era of ringtone rap.

To me KRS is clearly a better MC. He has better flows, better wordplay and a better voice.
But who's music i'm more a fan of (or at least i used to be)... Kanye West
Kanye is 1 of the greatest producers in Hip-Hop of all time and i think he should get more credit for his past work.
He has awesome production skills even though he dumbed it down.
