I think she is very wrong, she shouldn't have lied about it. She moved to a whole new town and made up her past and probably her current personality. I feel so bad for james. She should have told him the truth about herself. Not in detail, but something like " I used kind of wild or a "party girl", but I've grown out of it." He doesn't deserve that, and she deserves someone who will accept her past. She keeps running from it. I hope that he finds out soon.

It isn't the end of the world, truly. If she is treating him right and is a clean girl, her best bet is to shut her mouth and go.
It isn't like she lied about her age and finances, or has a secret husband, child, lover, etc.

If her greatest transgression is lying about slutting it up for years, then it aint a big deal. She will gain NOTHING by telling him, but
will plant a seed that will:
1. Alter his perception of her character
2. Make him analyze her quirks and tie her traits together with actions, potentially vilifying her

She basically got the man a better woman deserved, however, if she IS a great woman NOW, nothing changes. Chances are enough time has passed that even
if they went back to her old city, she can easily brush off any inconsistencies. There is no reason to spill the beans now. Being a sexual deviant ain't the worst crime.

I don't think that she's changed. She's in a new place, made up a new past and I think she is pretending to be new person. Someone who he'll like. My opinion would probably be different if she wouldn't have moved to a new location and lied about her past. It's obviously a big deal if she's lying about it and moved away b/c of it. It's very telling that a person that had wild sexual history, but has claims to changed her ways is still exhibiting a lot of major character flaws. She's willing to lie and deceive people to get what she wants (no integrity), even to a person she claims she cares about. The same character traits that led to her being promiscuous are still with her today and effect her judgement.

They still have the same mentality, just slightly different behavior. That's why knowing the past of someone you're thinking about spending your life with is very important.

I agree with that. Her habits may surface and fukk the relationship up. However, if she is trying to be a better person, and not doing him
wrong in any way, fukk it, live the dream. There are certainly worse lies than portraying purity. If she smart, has his back, does everything
to keep him happy in the meantime, no harm done.

I like how she says she "was" selfish as if she still isn't. Everything is still about her.

She doesn't care about him, she cares about what he represents; a stable lifestyle that many respect as opposed to the wild life that she's clearly embarrassed and ashamed about. If she truly cared about him she wouldn't have the nerve to concoct some fictional version of herself. She would have given at least some insight to the type of life she's led and have the decency to let him decide for himself whether he wants to stay with her or not...but it's clear what her agenda is.

If this James dude is as good a guy as she says he is, I feel bad for him. He's just a relatively inexperienced guy falling prey to some thots bullshyt.

shyt, I didn't read the thread, but that is a warning sign. She might very well "care" for him, but not love him, setting him up for
some major heartache down the line when she acts up.

Sounds like she made choices she is now ashamed of, and is now holding on to a good man, not because she loves him, but because she
wishes to be different. May not end well for the brotha.
