Popovich always gets too much credit.. His whole coaching career can be summed up in two words- Tim Duncan.

So Pop deserves the credit for winning game 5:stopitslime:

He should get some credit no?

He's putting the lineups on the floor. Green is shooting ridiculous right now, but damn near all of his shots are wide open. Pop is the one drawing up those plays.

Why do you make it seem like Pop is the only one getting credit?

Green's isn't getting props for his shooting?

People weren't :favre: over Parker after game 1?

People weren't going crazy over Neal and Green's shooting in game 3?

Duncan's D isn't getting credit?

People weren't giving Manu and Parker credit after the last game.

Leonard's rebounding and D hasn't been getting talked about?

People just need to be even-handed about it. Pop runs the best offense in the nba IMO and knows how to use his players better than anyone in the league. He gets the most out of green, diaw, leonard etc. Defensively, I like what he does as well. At the same time, he has had some great luck with the talent that has fallen into his lap. He also has really smart players that can coach themselves on the floor.

So, he's a great coach who happened to get great players. Just like Phil...yes, he's out coaching spo and it may not be the difference in the series, but it sure as shyt helps. He's a big factor in the series, just like he's been a big factor in their dynasty. He's not the guy that makes or breaks them but they probably don't get 1 or 2 of those chips w/o him. I don't know how anyone can argue that.

Dawg, he can coach but damn, he sure committed a Frank Vogel out there. Leaving Duncan on the bench twice and then putting Parker on the bench for Splitter. The NBA must have paid Pop some serious money for this bullshyt.

I love Pops coaching but he shouldn't left Duncan on the bench when they were up by 5. They was no called out on the rebound. Three Spurs could got the ball. Duncan would def organizes the rebound.

Pop Vogel. bytchass coaching. Spo shytted on him something serious.

Yeah man, Spo keeping Wade in was the epitome of great coaching. :leon:

But yeah, Taking Duncan out, not enough shooters on the last play, leaving manu in... Pop had a bad night. Probably cost himself the championship.
