It's starting to come out that Dejounte wasn't going to sign an extension and being that he is a klutch client, it could have been some fukkery ahead
And he shouldn't sign an extension because that makes him the least amount of money he can make.

It's concerning to me that part of the reason the spurs seem to have traded Dejounte was because they are afraid of paying him market value. Tim, Tony, and Manu days are long gone. Nobody is taking discounts like that in San Antonio anymore. So if the spurs are afraid of paying somebody a lot of money cause they not a max player then they need to go ahead and probably trade every body on this team they didn't draft this year. They definitely need to get rid of Poeltl cause aint no way he playing for 9 million dollars after this season.

It's also :mjlol: that we are saying the spurs are embracing the tank but they already know 2 years from now they going to be trash so it looks like they embraced the tank already :mjlol:

Going to make it all the more :mjlol: when we somehow win 35 games, lose in the play in, and end up with the number8 pick

Not sure. But Poetl is almost definitely going to be moved this summer.

Kai Jones was one of the players the Spurs were rumored to take in last year’s draft but I doubt he would be available.

I mean, sure, when you itemize list it out like this, OF COURSE it looks bad…

:sadcam:

Besides the Big 3 turning flabby, I’m guessing the rest got tired of Coach Pop yelling and screaming at them? I read Tony Parker’s book. Coach Pop would grill you hard during film sessions. He made Hedo Turk his whipping boy and drove him out.

Kawhi’s uncle forced him out of San Antonio.

Manu retired. So what?

Lost Tony Parker in Free Agency? What a terrible way to phrase that. Parker wasn’t a full time player anymore and he should have retired anyway.

Cut LMA. Well yeah. He was playing on one leg and was a shell of himself. He had to retire for health reasons and when he did come back with Brooklyn he did nothing.

Traded DeRozan. This opened the door for Murray to be the man and gave the Spurs a 1st round pick and two 2nds.

The Murray trade speaks for itself.

All these moves were necessary. The only one that wasn’t was Kawhi. And that was out of their control

I’m not a fan of that tweet because it suggests the Spurs mismanaged the roster somehow.

Nah, for sure. It lacks any/all context. Just a little hard to stomach one after the other, even if it’s a lot more complex than that.

Especially with this latest move.
