Mate...i was there I already said that twice...i know he had uk man performing on stage with him...i just was completely baffed about wiz being able to find ice kid (we came to the resolution it was probs dot rotten cos dot rotten still works with ice kid sometimes) cos 95% of the grime scene didn't even know where he was

Did they show everything on the feed?...wiz sounded ALRIGHT spitting on grime uno :leon: had me and my bwoy shocked as fucc

The Stormzy dub he done actually sounded cold, nailed the flow and everything.

Ice kid was a nice surprise but his mic levels were shyt and he was spitting off beat.

Sneakbo's lil PA >>>>

I don't ever want to hear any badman talk from Fekky from now on, Popcaan told him to suck his mum in front of 20,000 people and he basically tried to laugh it off. Garuntee if that was another UK artist he would have tried to take it beyond music.

Eskimo Dance were terrible apart from the B Live dub. Mixpak deserved it overall.

The event is stupid though, Red Bulls target audience are 16-18 year olds, everything being said was just going over their heads. The lack of reaction on certain things was actually frustrating lol

Yeah I was depressed on one of UKG's rounds where they were going off with the garage and the crowd had no clue about the levels they were displaying

The crowd was the black hood, uni students/teenagers/the essex lot

They def need to have a word with themselves about the last round...i really don't want to hear adele at a soundclash or bait edm drum and bass tunes

My mate was so gassed when sneakbo came on cos that was his favorite rapper a few years back...the sound was kinda f'd where I was when he came on so I didn't even realise it was him for a while

I did kinda cringe when popcaan told fekky to suck his mum cos i was like "its meant to be vibes brah :damn:" that was only time i thought there was potential for it to kick off...so when he just had it i was like ".....ok den :patrice:"

At the end when mix pak got the the trophy and popcaan got the audience to yell bumbaclarrt repeatedly i had one white chick behind me yelling "what does bumbaclarrt mean?! :dwillhuh: can someoneone tell me what bumbaclarrt means?! :damn:"

And i was :laff: at the deadness of the situation and the :dahell: expression all the black people that were within earshot of her had whilst just ignoring her....until i overheard her say

"So do you think it'd be kool if the next time i go into my newsagents tomorrow i call everyone a bumbaclarrt" and i immefiately

:whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa:

And turned around her and explained what it meant and she was like "thankyou :blessed:so i shouldn't say it to anyone? :ld:" And i was just like ":leostare: look, i'm trying to save you from getting slapped up :beli:"

That story basically emphasises your point and the general person that comes to these soundclashes...its a very mainstream 'urban/oceana/notting hill carnival raving' type lf crowd with small pockets of real uk underground music listeners depending on what soundsystem teams are playing that year

....did WIZ know it was a soundclash, though? :heh:

Nah but.....never been to one but always saw documentaries about them. Would love to experience one. It looks live.
Tbh red bull culture clash isn't a regular sound clash...its got a very unusual structure to it, which is its selling point to us. It wouldn't be a good "this is my first time going to a clash" type of experience if you get what I mean. You'd walk away with a very warped perspective on soundclashes.

smh

This is it though, Red Bull is no different to Complex, Vice, noisy etc. in terms of their target audience. It's basically a sound clash aimed at white teenagers/young adults that are too afraid to go to black raves/events. This is why I don't really interact with white people when I go out, they're either asking me if I'm selling MD or saying dumb shyt like what you just explained.

The days of having a crowd like this are long gone
