crazy thing about these porch pirates i don't get is, you don't even know what you stealing.
If they had stolen from me the last few things they would've gotten would've been a Pan African Flag, a miniature Christmas tree, a keyboard for a pc. what is a jackpot in their opinion, they hoping the new iphone or ps5 came in the mail?

its covid everyone is home and number 2 most people have a camera nowadays as well.

Porch pirate foiled by the most Canadian of anti-theft devices: A snowbank

A would-be porch pirate is facing charges after getting caught on camera allegedly trying to swipe a package from someone's doorstep in Mississauga, only to have his car get stuck in a snowbank while trying to get away.

The incident unfolded in a video that has been widely shared on social media. Police say it happened around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 4, in the area of Meadows Boulevard and Erin Centre Boulevard.

The video starts with a man opening his front door, startling another man standing on his front step. You can watch it in the player at the top of this story.

"You're done," the person behind the camera exclaims as the man on the porch runs to his car, saying sorry.

He can then be seen desperately trying to get his car to move — attempting everything from shovelling snow on his hands and knees to pushing his car out of the snow, but to no avail.

"You want me to get you a shovel?" the man who is filming says at one point, while the driver revs his engine, going nowhere.

The man behind the camera later starts giving him even more instructions, telling the other man that his car is front wheel drive, so he needs to get those wheels on the ground if he wants to go anywhere.

Peel Regional Police say a 33-year-old man from Brampton was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of fraud.

He was subsequently released and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.

They steal a 100 packages a day and resell on Craigslist, eBay, Offer Up etc. so it’s law of averages. Might get a $5 product, might get a $70 product. They driving past every house and grabbing every box they see. It adds up quick. That’s why they do it.

Why does this never happen to me,im not waiting or calling no police...that skinny nikka would be wearing my boots for a hat after he catches the clothesline from hell...
and you would've been promptly arrested and probably sued by the dude you assaulted who did not steal anything

This remind me of the time I got into a hit and run in Florida. I had a pistol, and a whole bomb of dope sacked up and I was in my homeboys Ford Focus. I ran into the back of a lady and instinctively made a run for it. Man this lady AND some white dude with a big ass truck started following me. I bussed a corner so hard in this neighborhood I ended up running into a mail box and bent the rim on one of the tires and fukked that shyt all up. Now the car is barely rolling and I see lady and dude in truck come flying around the corner.

So it’s barley moving but it rolls into a driveway. As soon as I get out the car, a old black man comes walking out the house. I’m like excuse me sir, but I’m having car troubles... he cuts me off and said, I already called the police. I’m like bytch ass nikka you don’t even know what happened. He must of had an instinct that I was on some fukkery.

So now lady and the man done rolled up on me. They like why you run. I was ignoring the hoe ass Good Samaritan. But I told the lady, look, I’m dirty ass hell and that’s the only reason I ran. She was like I don’t care, I just want the insurance info. Opened up my partner glovebox and gave it to her.

Had to get back in the car and roll it to this store in the neighborhood cause police was coming I still got all this shyt on me. Told the store owner I was having car trouble. He said you can keep it in the back for 24 hours. By this time, my nikkas was already on the way. Picked me up from the store. My homeboy reported it stolen. That’s was a whole different saga but we got up outta that too
