Agreed but my concern is how easy was it to get deviant shyt back in the day? Sure Spice, Playboy, Players etc. but the other shyt was WAY underground and the average person didn't know about it much less have access to it. 15 seconds of clicking and you can watch whatever you want. In the 90s you had to order VHS tapes with cash from shady classified magazine advertisements to go beyond vanilla porn. Even then there wasn't a global community for that smut to plug into unless you lived in a huge city.

what exactly qualifies as "deviant shyt" to you? cause i'm pretty sure the majority of pornhubs categories would mirror the sections of any adult video store in the 80's.

Basically the topic of this thread: pedo shyt. Add in rape, bestiality, ghetto gaggers shyt, etc. These weren't normal adult video store content back in the day.

how lucrative can it be now when they literally compete with free user generated content?

I think you may be vastly underestimating how big the porn industry is.
The fact that onlyfans exists and requires a subscription and is still making women thousands while there are virtually endless amounts of free porn out there should tell you something.

No one has ever lamenting new pornographic content by saying "No more new videos for now, we have enough porn already:whoa:"

Porn addicts are constantly searching for new girls.

what does that success looks like?

This varies from person to person, but for me success is probably...

No porn studios

No porn on the internet

No distributing porn

Off the top of the head...

why do you think it should be banned?

I think it's bad for society, the family, and the individual.

as a matter of law it's already settled, covered by the first amendment. assuming you're in the united states.

True, but that's a ruling I disagree with.

I got/had pretty bad addition at porn for a few years. Had almost 1000 bookmarks, and watching 3/4 times a day for months in end.

Tried to wean myself off by just Chaturbate and just women doing solo which helped me stop watching traditional porn.

At this point I just ever watch women in front of a camera and nothing else. As long as they’re independents and not doing it for a studio I’ll still watch maybe once a week. Trying to cut it completely off though.

Generally there is some shady shyt with porn in general. There’s a few videos where you search for something and you see the preview and they make the girl look like a teen. It’s not my cup of tea, even when you know they’re legal.

I thought you were talking about it in the context of sex trafficking victims. i know it's lucrative for performers able to build an audience but i don't see how sex traffickers could make a lot of money on platforms that has a "personal" quality to it.

Its not the primary source of income. Its a sidr hustle for alot of them.

You're paying for a human being to fukk. Its not a leap to think that the sellers or buyers would advertise their "property" with private pornographic material.

This happens often in pedo rings

thats quite the wishlist.

what you want and whats possible matters greatly because the internet is a distribution system by design..I hope you can understand why your vision of success is fundamentally flawed not even taking into account the human desire aspect.

Are you claiming that some "perfomers" on sites with "verified partners" or "pro content creator" are actually sex trafficking victims?

Let's be reality, pornhub makes more than enough money to monitor what get uploaded to their site, by who and from where.
Having to manually check each video is not scalable and defeats the purpose of having user generated content. In other words, it would kill the site over night. They can automate the monitoring by comparing the uploaded video to illegal videos they've seen in the past, and they can rely on their users to report illegal videos but neither of these methods is perfect and things will sometimes slip through the cracks.
They go hard in eliminating stuff from clips4sale, certain paysites etc. I am talking about in a matter of minutes at times, yet they all of a sudden can't take down suspected slavery, child porn etc?
With clips4sale and paysites, they make far more money per uploaded video than they do with tube sites which means that monitoring videos manually is financially viable. The situations are not comparable.

Tumblr struggled with the same problem back in 2018 and they decided that it was too hard of a problem to solve and finally banned porn altogether, crippling their site over night. This should tell you that this is no simple situation.
