That's an interesting point. I had forgotten about that interview with Helwani were he said this should be D-Bry's Mania.

But still, it would be weird as fukk if he comes back to feud with Triple H.

Honestly, putting him in any match at Mania will strike as random to me. But hey, he will be over as fukk and most people wont care that it's random or doesn't make any sense

It would be really dumb to hold his return past the 1st segment. Batista or La Nariz will probably start RAW and get crazy heat, and that's great. But past that, there's no reason to give the crowd a chance to highjack other programs. Give them what they want early and give your roster a chance to build their feuds without a pissed off crowd.

What happens with Meltzer is I believe he gets information from sources (We can speculate on who they are, but I have ideas), but he likes to play it safe because unless HHH or Vince say it's a "go", it's still not 100% confirmed. Back in the day, WWF never or rarely ever changed plans (There's a few instances like Ted Dibiase was suppose to win the title at WM 4 for example) but now, they do sometimes (though they've been sticking to the script a lot more lately) to fool the "smarks".

I think the main reason for the double talk is nowadays, Meltzer - due to being the n°1 insider in the biz - would get descredited and shytted on like no other dude for being completely wrong or guaranteeing something that didn't end up happening. That's why he's always double talking, he's almost never really "wrong" because he never confirms shyt. It's a smart move, but an annoying one.
