GKMC is a top 20 album of all-time to me and I think DAMN. is better.

Kendrick Lamar rhymes in nonsense just like Eminem but you stan him while hating Em. Instead of him being overly technical he overdoes the wordplay. The effect is the same, nonsense.
Even Reasonable Doubti don't really enjoy listening to jay-z's catalog anymore outside of the key standout tracks. i could probably condense his discography down to a 28 track double album, and that includes songs from soundtracks, collaborations, and features

People are being encouraged to downplay the art of RAP in favor for "Musicianship" which leads to what? Record labels being able to plug and play whatever artist they want to spearhead whatever project they put together and real live ass rappers get moved out of the market and the next generations of "Hip Hop" heads are further encouraged to take a backseat to production and "music" that's for sale rather than getting people to listen to what's really on their minds.
