nice beat tho :ehh:
On the real tho Phon murders this beat :wow:

"Ayo, I understand a hate for a nikka
But why you have to go and turn snake on a nikka?
Smile one day then get fake on a nikka
Runnin ya fukkin mouth, turn states on a nikka
Like Sammy the Bull, let's examine the full
Spectrum ,of your deception, the scandalous tools
That hold jewels when they wanna get fickle on you
Get jealous, call wifey then drop two nickels on you
Don't even act like I done shytted on you
How you gon' do me like that when my woman used to ride in
My deepest secrets I confide in
And at your crib, I reside in when shyt got hard
Mom dukes even tore me apart
She said, "Boy, you might THINK she pullin for you, but it's all a facade"
She ain't tryna see you get none of that free money
That Baby Gap shoppin spree money
That California Beni B. money
"The Listening" royalty check CD money
The LB, J-League money
The long dough, so your family won't be hungry
Sit down and takin all the wisdom that you leave from me
I shoulda listened to moms
Instead of all these funny nikkas greasin my palms, go ring the alarm
But ain't no need for me to stay around it
Or next verse I'm droppin GOVERNMENT NAMES and ain't gon' be so fukkin vague about it
"

*edit* if people had any doubts this right here really showed how much of an extraterrstrial this dude is. I remember Jazzy Jeff was interviewed and he said when he first met him 9th didn't have all kinds of MPCs and SP1200s, but the main thing he told him is that it's not the equipment a producer has, it's the man behind the machine.

His first beat from RR. I can't remember the name but he dropped it officially on one of the Zion tapes.

*edit* this was

I fukks with some of his less fukked with shyt.

This might be one of the most egregious instances of wasting a beat. Big Treal and the hook are pretty good, though.

Them ain't the real drums. :wow:

This isn't his most extensive work, but to this day, I still think his version of "My 1st Song" is the superior version, and is way better at wrapping up an album and a career (at the time) than the original version.

We could do a whole thread based off his work with Murs. "The Animal" was the first time I heard Phonte, and I IMMEDIATELY found a way to get my hands on "The Listening".
