I remember saturday cartoons being a big deal back then. Theyd have a day on tgif on abc with a show dedicated to getting kids amped up for them cartoonsAnime, video games, hip-hop, and Saturday morning cartoons peaked in the 90s.
For movies...
Blockbuster movies and popcorn flicks peaked in the 80s, but the 70s and 90s were better for serious cinema.
Comic books definitely peaked in the 80s.

The 70s through the early 80s were the best time ever for music.
Earth Wind and Fire, Donny Hathaway, Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Zapp and Roger, the Isley Brothers, and Prince
The silver lining for living in today is that we have the internet, so we can relive those eras anytime we want![]()
everything is artificial. No authenticity in anything.Something just feels off…
It’s hard to explain
This is definitely oneeverything is artificial. No authenticity in anything.
I've read numerous posts like this on the Coli saying that the 80s & 90s were over glorified and that today is way better.
The 80s was very violent, so I can understand that
But here's my thing, nikkas today are complaining about everything. High rent, high gas, high car payments, high food.
The 90s - 2003 will always be the GOAT years strictly on cost of living. If you made $35,000 in 2001 you was GOOD.We not even talking about this sorry as social media, microwaved movies & music, and camera phones everywhere.
