Low was not sophisticated when it came to US politics is the simple answer. They met in a nightclub, through a party promoter, which kind of underscores the whole saga. And, the funnier answer is that I am sure Pras fukking convinced him, sold him like he's never sold anything in his life, LOL when he saw those millions. Pras is an egomaniac, I am sure he convinced Low he was basically the Secretary of State. Plus, Low was known for being generous and just a party guy, despite his intelligence, he did go to Harvard, but he was a nerd, and lost his mind with all the money. A lot of these deals were probably brokered at 4:49 AM in some hotel after party.

The book I read, in addition to all the indictments and articles, is called Billion Dollar Whale, that's where I learned all this shyt. The book was published in late 2018, because I read it in January 2019, so there's no indictment of Low, or Ng, or Pras, which happened in late 2018, and mid 2019, or Leissner, but it's all foreshadowed, and they are all in the book, including Pras. It was written by Wall Street Journal reporters who followed the story.

We're in a thread about Pras from the Fugees getting 100 million from the chinese which I'm sure you would've said was impossible but we have proof it happend. I could post more articles confirming Akon is in business with China for his work in Africa but your mind is made up.
