Keep your head up.My wife and I decided to become expats. Sadly the contract was cancelled due to Covid. We ended up maxing out our funds until we moved in with our in-laws. We got treated like losers. My wife managed to find a job and we had the funds for a place. We ended up getting screwed by the beloved city of Valdosta and ended up in a homeless shelter.
My wifes job managed to be so delayed and jumped the gun in the hiring process. Meanwhile, I filed for disability due to my severe depression throughout life. I'm waiting on that and we did not get helped with housing from the shelter.
We ended up leaving the shelter due to a lady dying in the facility. We had some funds to get a hotel room and next thing you know my wife gets fired because of racial nonsense (she complained about the time of pay and how it put my family in a bind).
We decided to use our little bit of funds to come to Alabama. My wife got a new job and here we are as I am trying to get a gig while I wait for my disability. Homeless shelters are full and not taking families. And we are just down bad.
Just know with Disiability you will get denied until you get a hearing with the judge.
This isn't being negative this is being realistic. The government wants you dead before they'll pay you so they prolong the process.
When you have your hearing the judge will ask how often will you be out of work due to your illness...something 3-5 days will work.
Tell them you don't shower..it messes with your ability to be a parent and think about committing that sometimes.
I got my SSDI last summer and I went through the appeal process.
Helps to have medication lists and lists of every hospital and doctor...
Plus extra if you had any inpatient stays.
