Well, we know this trial will probably be a shytshow, but might as well try to call the vote. :yeshrug:

Is it going to come down to a straight party line vote? Or will there be a crossover vote on either side?

I think I'll go with 52-48, with all Republicans voting against convicting along with Manchin.

They have enough to remove him already. It's only going to get worse if they allow Bolton or Parnas to testify before the senate.

You cant be a Democrat and not vote for removal based on these set of facts. It's bad for u as a democrat no matter where u are in the country to not remove him.

It will be a straight party line vote, I could see Lisa Murkowski or Romney flipping but even thats not likely to me.

i picked "All Republicans vote against conviction, along with three or more Democrats"...... lol @ the person who thinks that joe manchin and doug jones are going to vote to convict.....
Yup. I voted for this one.

All Republicans vote against conviction, and two Democrats do as well

It's obvious Jones and Manchin won't vote to convict. So the final count will be 55-45 to acquit Trump.

52 for conviction and 48 against....not sure on the removal process as I understand you need two thirds (66/67) for that..
but compelling witness testimony, if allow and public reaction can change this guesstimate during the trial

Sinema and Jones defect. I don't think Manchin will ever run for office again so I don't think he plays both sides like usual.

McConnell WILL sabotage the entire thing at the end and him and a handful of Republicans will fukk it up...:beli: y'all underestimating how far these cacs willing to go to protect each other!!!

He doesn't even have to. Republican politicians are too terrified of Trump and his supporters to even think about voting to remove him, regardless of how obviously guilty he is.

All McConnell is going to do is try to have the vote ASAP.
