Living in both, it's hard to pick. I like both for different reasons.

NY - I prefer the food, places to go/night life, variety of people/cultures, easiness of travel, surprising to most, I like NY weather more too (I really love winter and fall seasons in NY).

LA - I prefer quality/size of apartments/housing, cost of living (still bad, but not NY bad), less hectic, more laid back vibes, friendlier people, women (My wife is from LA)

Being 37, I prefer the LA lifestyle currently (Moving back this time next year, Allah willing)

But for overall, I will always pick NY/Brooklyn over LA. If someone asked me where they should travel to, I would tell them NY.

It’s dope having four seasons and our winters aren’t that bad compared to most “cold weather” cities. Fall and winter in NYC is G.O.A.T. from the vibe to the fashion.

Our women are better we have more women and more diversity and way more black women period.

U can have a car here I don’t know why people think this. Also, the Subway or bus is cheaper and more convenient than sitting in LA smoggy traffic.

Housing is cheaper but still expensive.

Our food is better unless you talking about Mexican food. We are a bigger, more diverse city period it’s just flat out more food options.

I guess you can have beaches.

New Yorker born & raised. Visited LA a couple years back.

This is the perfect breakdown. LA is the only other place I could possibly see myself relocating to.

How is the Muslim community like in LA? It seemed none existent when I was out there, where do you usually go during Friday prayers? I heard they're more up North in the Bay area.
