This. La Liga's top heavy and doesn't have an amusing relegation battle, and the Bundesliga lacks charisma. Let's not even talk about how bad Serie A fell off :flabbynsick:

The physicality and number of games hurts teams in Champions league, and can unfortunately encourage cynical managers like Mourinho, Allardyce et al
Was gonna type exactly what is up above ^^^ but was too lazy this morning lol

How is the EPL different? It's usually Manchester teams and Chelsea. The rest are doo doo and can't even get far in the Uefa cup whereas Spanish teams take turns in it every year. We know every season that Arsenal and Liverpool won't win the league. Chelsea is having a terrible season and even though Man City lost today, it's really theirs to lose. Let's not even talk about the champions league, English teams barely touch the ball or lose it quickly playing against Spanish or German teams. In every year that they have won it, they never dominated the opposition and had to rely on defending for their lives and hoping to hit on the counter.
So we gonna ignore that an English team played in the 2006 champions league final, 2 English teams in the 2008 final, another English team in the 2009 and 2011 finals, and Chelsea won it in 2012? That's 5-6 finalists in the past 10 years...sure they fell off the past 2 years but why act like they never did shyt in the competition?

The premier league is the most entertaining league when it comes to end to end action and drama. But the best football is still played in Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. The EPL gets alot of hype because it's promoted the most and has the most money flowing in and out of it. But when you consider the quality of the players it develops, it fails in comparison with Spain, Germany, etc.

:heh: All these fukking hipsters in here. Bundesliga is terrible, everyone is playing for second every year. Barca/Real league gets so tiring. The reason EPL does bad in Europe is because the amount of games and comp is a lot higher. There is no off weeks in the EPL. When a title is won in fukking March and another is decided over two games, there's really no entertainment.

To put it in context:
Since 2000, Spanish teams have won that competition 7 times; 10 finalists- only time they lost to another league's team was Valencia vs. Bayern in 2001 in a penalty toss up. German teams have had 6 finalists, won it twice; Italian teams 5 finalists, won it 3 times( same as English teams)

I'm not saying they haven't done much but let's not act like they dominate anything. Look closely at the Manu and Chelsea final(the pure luck they had in the semis to get there- neither team dominated and relied on a Hail Mary), the undeserved Chelsea win vs Bayern and - they defended for their lives and we're lucky that Robben and Ribbery fukked up.

For the teams that are next in line i.e Uefa Cup - Spain 7 finalists, won it 7 times; England only twice -Liverpool and Chelsea (2013 after they fell out of the Champs league group stages). None of the other scrappy doo doo teams that make up the rest of the English Premier League are ever good enough to get far. The likes of Everton and Tottenham are easily bottom feeding scraps in La Liga

Most times its because they don't have the basic skills of close ball control and intelligent passing so when they meet teams from La Liga full of players that can do this in their sleep, the results go one way.

The Best of La Liga runs the Champions League and the other good teams in Spain run the Uefa cup. The great thing about the EPL is the marketing, distribution and game scheduling also helps them a lot vs. La Liga but that's where it stops.

Every country has its own league. Soccer players do tend to go to where the most money is which is England, Spain, Germany and Italy.
Soccer is a cheap sport in terms of the facilities required; Many people play it and having a single consolidated league will not make any sense. The regional competitions ( e.g Uefa champions league and Uefa cup) are probably the best approximations but consolidating everything simply won't work.

Also, in terms of the NBA - it's the most established and by far the richest basketball association in the world. Over time and with the right resources(money, basketball courts and gyms at an early age), the Euro Basketball league can catch up but we are 100years from that.

Easily the GOAT league, so unpredictable, so much drama, many characters, the TV production are better, the commentary is better, the marketing is better, the kits are better, more inclusive to foreigners and even the club emblems are better. EPL is the prefect product.

And what’s crazy is that the league each year is getting more marketable, making much more money and other European leagues are shaking in fear. Sure, La Liga Two teams and Bayern might do better in Europe but it because they are sucking the life out of the league literally through unfair financial advantage and taking the best talent from their respective league to their own detriment. Bayern Munich gets the best of best of the German. Barca/Real basically get all the TV rights and get the best of Spain and South America, no wonder they dominate. But this short sightedness is killing their leagues.

No one really watches German League and La Liga is not experiencing any growth outside out South America where the EPL is now starting to make moves. EPL is growing and still has more growth in Asia, Africa, Middle East and North/South Americas.

Something like in 2019 New TV rights, Bottom EPL club will get same amount of TV income as Barca/Real or something along the line as this.

13 games in and the Top Table clash next week is Leicester vs United. Who would predicted that?

La Liga and the Bundesliga definitely boast high powered, star studded teams in their upper echelons; but overall they don't bring the intensity the EPL brings on a weekly basis.

Maybe I feel this way because I follow the league more closely and have strong sentiments for its teams, but if you really look at the numbers you'll see that statistically the EPL is very competitive.

Currently the top 10 teams in the EPL are within 9 points of one another, while the bottom three sit within four or five. Man City sat on a fluffy lead for the first several weeks and are now in a tight second after the catastrophe that was Saturday. Arsenal are in the top four today but might find themselves out if middle of the road teams like the Spurs, Hammers and Everton keep up their recent good form.

Where teams lack in star power, they make up with young talent. There's no denying Sterling, Kane, Campbell and De Bruyne this season.

I can go on, but you get the point: sure, there really isn't a CR7 or a Bayern Munich in the EPL, but teams are fighting tooth and nail every week because the table is so competitive this season.

Could anyone have guessed Chelsea would be where they are now? Hell, could anyone have guessed Leicester City would be #1 right now?

Could anyone have guessed El Clasico would be as dull and unexciting as it was this time around?

Just food for thought.

This alone makes your argument invalid. PL is simply garbage technically and overall poor. Great to watch though, cannot deny the fukkery.
