Canada and the UK havent gone back on their healthcare legislation, Australia hasn't undone its arms bans, and comprehensive police reforms have limited the amount of crimes committed by officers in these countries and none of that shyt has been clawed back. Its political suicide in some of these countries to try and claw back certain policies once people have developed a taste for them.
