Israel is necessary to our interests in the middle east. Thats where we get most of our oil from. We have to keep Israel propped up to to be able to exert some type of control on Arab countries and let them know that if they feeling froggy, that we got a launchpad right there in their backyard to do whatever they feel like they want to do.

This is one of the major reasons why the US is a superpower. We have a presence everywhere. And Israel is our presence in that region to make sure that we get what we need when we need it.
