you're either a troll or you're not educated on the subject... or you really have a poor musical knowledge. The reason every musician is praising the composition of tpab on some goat level is because it really is that amazing.

I could talk about it for hours but I have that feeling you have 0 knowledge on jazz & funk.

Again Pete Rock and J. Dilla and a shyt ton of other producers have already been using those soundscapes for years and years before Gremlin did but nobody seems to laud them in the same manner. I don't listen to a lot of funk music but I have a novice education in jazz and I played music in my formative years. I wasn't a fantastic musician by anymeans but I knew how to read music and play it as decently well.

But none of that means jack shyt to me. I don't need people to tell me what I should and shouldn't like in hip-hop or any other medium for that manner.

really, tpab isn't just kendrick working with some of the best musicians in the game, he clearly understands what are them bebop scales or altered scales, syncopation and polyrhythms. Kendrick definitely is a musician.
Exactly

Thats basically the reason why I called TPAB a classic. Kendrick is a damn good rapper but Tpab's greatness is all in the music.

Kendrick has tried so many genre's and pulled em all off effortlessly. The jazz elements alone are goat, it's up there with some of the absolute best jazz albums of the 80s: Changing Seasons, Step By Step, Six of One, Underneath It All, Peaceful Heart Gentle Spirit, etc.

tbh Drake really has nothing on Kendrick, Kendrick is basically a much better rapper & artist in almost every aspect.

all Drake really can do is go personal or make singles and honestly, Kendrick has mastered that personal thing a lot more.

As far as singing, Kendrick isn't a singer. But he does have a knack for great melodies and hooks.

But Kendrick is obviously the more complete and versatile artist. Each album is basically an audio film complete with characters and a plot and accomplishes a different goal than the last. You think Drake could successfully pull off a Jazz/Funk oriented album? No. But Kendrick can and has also helped to boost jazz music last year. Drake has yet to make a single full fledged concept album. Kendrick has 3, each with an entirely different sound than the last.

When it comes to actual rapping/lyrical technique, Drake loses. BADLY

Kendrick, like I said before, can flip from a spoken word/poetry style to an aggressive rapping style, to the space age alien shyt etc. and does it all effectively.

Honestly, the only thing Drake has over Kendrick is Pop joints and Club/radio and that's because Kendrick doesn't focus on that. But we saw he was capable of it on GKMC.

Kendrick is better than Drake at personal songs, lyrical songs, storytelling and he's successfully pulled off R&B records like These Walls and Poetic Justice. Yea, Drake was on Poetic Justice but it was just a verse. Kendrick completely did everything else and it worked. And honestly, that's one of Drake's least memorable verses.

Kendrick has done more genre's than Drake, tried more rapping styles than Drake and has succeeded in Drake's lane as a mainstream artist making hits. He's more complete than Drake.

Oh and let's not forget, Kendrick is doing all his own writing. Even most of his hooks come from him. Drake got Hush, Kenza Samir, Quentin Miller, Nickleus F, Majid Jordan, Makonnen and probably other nikkas on payroll writing for him

:salute:

but he said he likes both ? :pachaha:
Everyone likes pop music. But when the president wants to hear next level stuff. Well he says he goes with Kendrick. Cause look drake is entertaining. But like the president made clear, Kendrick is more than that. He's lyrical. Talented, breh. :umad:

Your boyfriend gets no love when it comes to being great. He's just an entertainer.
