pretty much, it's that simple, just saying

This is pretty good, but MadGibbs is still AOTY to me.

The only 2 things I don't know about on this are that I wish Royce had 1 more solo joints. The last 4 joints all having features wasn't my favorite way to end the EP. The other thing is that I could tell the Adrian Younge sound was wearing a little bit thin by the very end. I still think premier did a really good job of keeping everything sounding fresh and not too repetitive, especially since he said he doesn't like sampling one artist.

MadGibbs is AOTY for me too. RTJ is number two, but PRhyme is probably a very strong third. I didn't think the Adrian Younge sound was wearing thin, but I do think that this benefited from being 35 minutes long; I don't think any of the songs are skippable at all. Most albums these days would be better if they cut all the fat like that; even MadGibbs could use a few tracks cut, IMO.

I actually agree with the ending the album with four featured songs, though. I can see why that would take away from it

You Should Know :banderas:

Favorite joint on the album off 2 listens through. When Royce starts that 2nd verse off, both times I've heard it I've just taken it in like :blessed:

They really should do a full LP without just sampling one artist. Just a straight up Premier and Royce album. They're honestly Gang Starr 2.0 and I've said that shyt since the first Bar Exam tape.

Okay I officially need to check out Run the Jewels 2. Is it bad I haven't heard it yet?

I feel you on MadGibbs. I don't skip any of it, but I could take a song or two being cut. 4 songs on there had been out for SO long. I wouldn't cut Thuggin or Deeper, but maybe Harold's or Same? The last joint IMO was the weakest track, only because it had so many verses, and only a few were that dope. No way mac Miller should've had the last verse on the album.

I've seen some people say the 2nd half of Piñata is worse, but I think it just takes a different turn. Robes, Broken, Lakers, and Knicks is a dope ass run. I dunno breh, I think Piñata is a modern classic, but I agree with you that more people should trim the fat and make 9-12 song albums.

Apparently Royce didn't like the beat and/or his verse for U Looz and that's why it's only 1 verse? Royce is bugging on that.
:mindblown:

Really digging To Me, To You. At first I was ehh on it, but today it's sounding pretty groovy. Almost reminds me of some old RZA shyt and it's some of the best rapping on here. The line about the breathalyzer had me :deadmanny:

It's not on PRhyme and I bet most of ya'll have heard it but if you want a bonus joint here's some more new Royce/Preem from last month
