OP says in a UFC match though. All that boxing shyt goes out the window in a actual fight. Brehs was posting brothers getting tossed and slammed left and right because they brought a boxing mentality to a street fight.
Being in a street fight isn’t going to make you magically be able to fight someone who’s trained. If you don’t have any fighting skills. Actual fighting skills, training, then it won’t matter whether if it’s in the ring, octagon, mat or bar.

i practice MMA but I dont compete..I compete jiu jitsu though. Im blue belt

Alot of MMA dudes could learn from Boxing, it's just that most mfs in MMA come from grappling backgrounds n thus a good portion miss those good boxing fundamentals. A 5 year boxer like Jake Paul schooling wrestling mma fighters like Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley no big surprise at all...

Yeah I noticed the box game is not there with these MMA fighters. The hands are there but its complicated :patrice:. Like something feels off when I see fighters have striking moments. Like you can tell that there is no sort of boxing training at all in them hits :ld:

I think like with anything...
Whatever you focus your time in the most.
You're gonna be wayyy better at.

Boxers be in the gym 5-6 days a week, since kids... Doing the same thing over and over ... And over...
I don't think those MMA katts get that deep into striking.
So there's just a certain high level of boxing skill, even a middle tier boxer will have.
Which will be greater than a professional MMA fighter.

I actually use to teach "striking" for my homie's classes, who has a couple MMA schools...
I love how they love learning about the lil nuances of boxing..

And I started to love watching them grapple, once I started to learn about it
I use to think it was just "rolling around on the ground" lol

That's something that I know I want to eventually get into, cause In my opinion it's probably the most important thing to be familiar with ...

Aybreh.... You mentioned some mma guys who have a boxing background...
I know their names, but don't know much about what they've done as boxers
Do you think they could beat the Jake Paul dude...or someone his level

I think all of them mashing Jake..they are all among mma fighters that come from boxing backgrounds rather than grappling.

Andre Ward said the Diaz Bros gave him some problems in sparring.

those are trained UFC fighters though... most people can’t fight like that. Boxer in street fights win majority of the time lol. It’s not just about standing up right and fighting with ur hands. Most people can’t throw a powerful punch, let alone keep their chin from visibility

it depends on the person of course, but a good wrestler or grappler would abuse a boxer in a street fight more times than not. :yeshrug:

AyeB... It's funny we always end up in these fighting threads...
Ur MMA... I'm a boxer...

And I'd say with no hesitation that mma is better in an actual street fight .. boxing is just prettier lol

But everybody else will argue all day about this shyt

Precisely, because alot of these mfs are grapplers lmfao..also striking in MMA is way different than Boxing. A boxer stance in MMA will get you murked, takedowns, kicks etc. You have to throw your strikes differently, gotta keep more distance, it just feels wayy different. This vid breaks that down good

Y'all gotta keep in mind regardless of what method someone is trained in, that shyt goes out the window in the streets.

There's no ref to break it up, no suspension by the Nevada State athletic commission, no judges rule...

If you think an amateur or professional trained boxer won't punch you dead in your heart, throat or the back of your head, or that a trained mma guy isn't going to gouge your eye or choke you beyond unconsciousness or drop a pointed elbow strike on you, slam your head into the ground, ground and pound the back of your head while your face down on the ground.......especially if their life is on the line or they feel threatened :pachaha:

:yeshrug:

Now if the discussion is sanctioned bouts in either mma or boxing that's a completely different discussion

Didn't the Game allegedly get slept in the mall by Rosmo700? To the point a member on the coli had to call different department stores to verify :lolbron::mjlol:
Maybe, go listen the story from Rosemo700 who he didn't have beef with. Anybody can get slept when you have 2 people in front of you and your attention is diverted :manny:

The same dude he got dropped behind allegedly crashed into an old man car getting away from Game after Rosemo700 took that eternal slumber:snoop:

50 was a Golden Glove participant..so off skill I'd go with Curtis.Game has reach and based off weight he should be able to hold his own but I've seen 6'7 nikkas get slumped by 5'8 dudes with hands and feet.
