Chef been nice since Davidson. As a rookie he was cooking.

He ain’t hit his stride because early in his career he had them ankle injuries and he didn’t have they keys to the offense with Monta Ellis on the squad.
facts i watched the whole tournament run

and was telling my nikkas at the lunch table to watch him on league pass

he's always been nice

but if his surroundings stayed booboo he would've been on some kyrie/dame shyte

just getting buckets being the league pass gawd

yes he'd still be cooking knocking down shooting records filling up the highlight reel

but not a two time mvp & champion

They won a championship and 73 games before KD came. Curry was averaging 30ppg on 50% shooting too. His team is good but he was the reason why everything came together since he tasted playoffs before klay and green were as good as they are now and KD was still in OKC.
Oh that year then yea. With KD I’d say they better without him

I think Rose's poor playmaking was always huge flaw in his game. Even with injuries he was never an elite playmaker or passer.

I disagree. D-Rose had a lot more composure in clutch situations and was a more deadly iso player. I think he had the most impressive clutch time stats in the NBA in 2011.

Westbrook has always been erratic with turnovers, chucking three pointers, bad midrange dribble pull-ups in clutch situations.

Also, D-Rose to me had a lot more skill than given credit for. Rose had superior handles and had better touch inside than Westbrook. He knew angles and could play the glass as good as Irving and has G.O.A.T. body control/hangtime in the air.

Handles & touch inside really don't mean much.I guess from an aesthetic level, but Westbrook is just as effective.

I don't care if you attack the basket like a ballerina or like a tasmanian devil...Just as long as you put the ball in the basket at an elite level.

They're both just as unstoppable in their own way.Westbrook is young Sabo, but Rose had some of the same weaknesses.

Mid range and 3pt shooting.Guess it's a matter of styles.I think they're even, but forced to pick between the two, I'd go with Westbrook.

And that's only because I like his competitive edge. He's constantly trying to take your head off out there.

BUT THEY WERENT JUST AS EFFECTIVE.

THAT GREAT HANDLE AND TOUCH BECOMES VERY USEFUL
WHEN THE GAME GETS TIGHT IN THE 4TH.

YALL KEEP LOOKING AT THE NUMBERS
THINKING THEY DOING THE SAME shyt.

HE JUST TOLD YOU ROSE WAS THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE
IN CLUTCH SITUATIONS.

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WEVE SEEN RUSS
THROW GAMES AWAY WITH HIS PREDICATBLE SHOT SELECTION?

1. THEY BUILD A WALL
HE ATTACKS ANYWAY
THROWS UP GARBAGE AND DOESNT GET BAILED OUT...

2. HE DRIBBLES THE AIR OUT THE BALL
AND JACKS A 30 FOOTER.

THATS RUSS IN THE HALFCOURT
IN LATE GAME SITUATIONS
EVEN WHEN HE HAD KD.

nikkaS COMPARING STAT LINES
INSTEAD OF WATCHING THE GAMES.

I avoid speaking on D Rose with niccaz from Chicago:hubie:

3 of my closest buddies are from Chi Town.

Back in 2011, I made the mistake of saying "I don't think Rose should've won MVP this year:dame:"

And I had 3 niccaz at my neck like

113-80 record in total without him those 4 years he was on and off the court. :yeshrug:Equivalent to an almost 48 win season, which is virtually a guaranteed playoff spot in the East. :troll:Not to mention they were a consistent top 5 defense. So yeah, the Bulls were far from an incompetent team when Rose wasn't on the court. :russ:
Are you really comparing sub 50 win teams to teams that were the number one OVERALL seed?

the ether
and what would that peak have amounted to if his team had remained a bottom of the league team

if the franchise remained in disarray and the coaching was below standard

chef peaked right in stride with all the pieces around him franchise/coaching/team etc.

No matter what happened with the franchise, Curry still would have been a better shooter, better passer, better ballhandler, more creative finisher at the rim, with a better bball IQ on both sides of the floor than Rose. He's better at virtually every point guard skill than Rose is. And as I pointed out, Curry was outplaying Rose head-to-head even in Rose's prime, so ya'all lost that argument.

All ya'all keep assuming that Rose hadn't peaked and was going to get even better, even though he hasn't given any indication in his career that he is willing to change or improve as a player. You give him a pass cause of his injuries and assume those held him back. At the same time, you ignore all of Curry's early-career injury issues where he had three different seasons end early, and forget that those injuries were a big reason he didn't "peak" as soon as Rose did.

Curry's peak is higher than Rose's. Far higher. And I haven't seen any evidence it would ever have been otherwise.

same way you assume chef could actualize his talent in any environment

one player was fortunate to be healthy for a stretch & have that period coincide with his franchise & teams most successful period

the other played for a perpetually disastrous franchise & began to break down at 22 far from the age where you play your best ball at

it's never a slight to chef but drose was the blue chip talent of his era that didn't get to fully develop

i understand what you're saying i respect it & i still feel how i feel

2012 Rose was better than both Russ and Curry imo

nikka was doing it all, great defender against star guards, wonderful playmaking skills, bumped his 3 point game a lil bit....

2011 was his MVP yea but 2012 regular season was the peak Rose we'd ever see

:mjlol: Rose wasn't even in the same universe as Curry. Curry is better at literally everything, even finishing at the rim.

It’s like people still underestimate how nice this nikka steph is. Bruh remember when Portland lost and Dame complained that he never faced defense like that. Steph faced and still faces defense like that every night. We gonna act like steph wasnt getting doubled and triple teamed on and off ball, yet still managed to torch nikkas. Russ and Rose arent close.
