I’ll take Reed. I’ll give up a little at corner because of what a safety like Reed brings to a defense.

Reed can return on Punts as well.

Ed Reeds biggest issue was he carried the ball like a loaf of bread too often. Ball security was lacking and he might try to lateral at questionable times, lol.

I'll ride with Ed Reed because he can play strong safety or free safety. And he's a playmaker like Deion.

You could technically make completions on Reed via whatever corner was handing off in zone. You not making any completions on Prime that wasn’t resulting in a TO/INT/incompletion.

Prime was also returning kicks and occasionally moonlighted as a slot receiver.

Prime easily, elite corners are paid more than safeties for a reason.

I would’ve loved to see Prime against Manning/Brady in their primes just to see that battle. Reed gave Brady all kinds of hell to the point his entire play call was based on where Reed was positioned on the field.

Imagine if Prime was in his Prime with the Ravens. Kyle Boller would have been down to 10 passes per game, lol.

Prime was one of the greatest athletes of all time. Top NFL football player ever that could play 3 phases of the game.

As a Ravens I could approximate Prime defensively with Chris McCalister shutting guys down or even with Samari Rolle shutting down guys. I'm not sure who in the NFL could approximate Ed Reed except Polamalu to a degree.

Woodson, Earl Thomas, and Justin Reid is currently building his resume very quietly.

Prime easy!

Not knocking Ed, GOAT safety, but we can’t act like Reed didn’t benefit from having Ray Lewis in the box and a great defensive line every year with his tenure with the ravens :yeshrug:

Prime automatic shut down
